Something spicy for dinner.

These are a black chilli, grown from a chilli I was given..performing very well with lots of chilli...love these, love spicy food.. I think it is a Chenzo Chilli pepper...

My first attempt to get my own pungent chilli peppers on my balcony. Yes, I'm happy! Finally, the harvest seems to be very satisfactory... 😊 😁

BNSF L CHI105 is seen blasting into the sunset, ripping through the small twon of Mazon on BNSF's Chillicothe Subdivision.

I don't know if it is centralized to the Galesburg pool or the entire system, but 4 axle leasers have invaded the BNSF system as of late, and as many folks complain about rent-a-wrecks, these glossy smoke shows can hang around as long as they want as far as I am concerned. I could hear this train working hard 3 to 4 miles after they passed across the calm countryside.

My beloved grew a couple of plants of chillis this year and the yield of hot but fiery chillis has been remarkable.

They are tiny but lethal ;o)

Week 19 of the 52Project2017 Macro Challenge - "Anatomy".

Growing 2 varieties this year. Habanero and Apache. I like hot chillis. 🔥🔥🔥

My chilli peppers are shrivelling up on the window sill. Been too out of action after my accident to sort them out. Still on the plants.

Hottest chilli pepper in the world was accidentally created by Welsh farmer.

Mike Smith, from Denbighshire, declared himself “chuffed” if a little “surprised” after scientists indicated that his Dragon’s Breath chilli had eclipsed the existing American record holder by a clear margin.

Originally intended to be a thing of beauty rather than a sensory beast, the peppers measure a formidable 2.48 million on the Scoville heat scale, ahead of the 2.2 million achieved by the Carolina Reaper.

Scientists from Nottingham Trent University, who believe oil from the chilli’s is so potent it could act as an alternative anaesthetic for those allergic to conventional drugs.

The Dragon’s Breath is so powerful that one drop of its capsaicin oil would be detectable in 2.48 million drops of water.

By contrast, US Army Pepper Spray, used to blind and disorientate assailants, measures only 2 million on the Scoville scale.

Mike has applied to Guinness World Records and is currently awaiting confirmation that the chilli is the world's hottest.

Long time no upload, hope you're enjoying this sweltering weather!

Been doing a fair bit of cooking recently, enjoying the home comforts! Thought about putting some of the images together to form a recipe sort of blog... we'll see! This was part of a chilli ginger stuffed sea bass. Pretty tasty!

What a cute dog! Shame that his owner is a jerk. :(

On a technical note: Guess I should have pumped up the flash power a bit more! If only I could use glue to keep animals in one place! XD

Sometimes LOVE Tastes like Red chilli

Hot, bitter, Acrid

But I like it the most

Continuing our series of Australia Day eve photos from Launceston. You'll recall that radio station Chilli FM stepped up to the plate and offered to host and fund the Australia Day (January 26) fireworks when the left-wing dominated Launceston City Council voted not to recognise this national holiday.

Ordinary Launcestonians turned out in their thousands and Chilli FM picked up many more listeners. Here a local group of musicians entertain the crowd before the fireworks display.

The rest of the crab apples made a good base for some wonderful chilli jam (3 Scotch bonnets, a couple of red chillies, chopped ginger root, juice and zest of 1 lime added to about 4lbs crab apples & 3 lbs sugar, plus water to cover). Delicious to eat and lovely to look at!
