We were in search of a decent chili dog. Todd had a craving and flying six hours to Sacramento to get some Weinerschnitzel was not on the agenda. We settled for this. I was going to ask him if it was as good as a California chili dog, but he's on the couch moaning something about a stomach ache, so I guess not.
Weinerschnitzel is one of those West coast-centric places I'm going to have to try when we get to Sacramento in January. Just for the heck of it. There's a whole list of places I need to visit including Del Taco (just so I can say their fast food tacos suck as much as ours) and a couple of dive restaurants (most of which can be seen in this guy's flickr set) Todd's always talking about (especially Lil Joe's). Then I can truly compare east v. west food and feel even more smug when I say the food is just better here.
Or not.
