A message from childhood, perhaps to you or me. Pay attention to who you truly are inside. Remember what it was like to be a child. More in my set "Signs". Nikon FE2 25mm black and white film.
Great slogan I found on a bumper sticker that was put on a car (not mine) in a shopping center parking lot.
Isnt this how you want your child to grow up? Not locked into a small screen that takes away from their day to day lives?
While we are still on the theme of childhood pastimes and toys, I thought I would share another old memory. When I was about 7 years old, I started to collect glass animals. (Actually they were ceramic, but I was too young to understand the difference, I just knew they would break if I dropped them! )
This little skunk is very old, purchased in 1964. I was visiting my Aunt Clara, and she took me on a shopping trip, just the two of us. We walked, the store was only a few blocks from her house. I remember picking out this skunk, it was 29 cents, and I remember her counting out her pennies to pay for it. She was quite elderly at the time, and I never did get to know her very well, but I have very fond memories of this special time I spent with her!
