"Crumbed lamb brain burger with salad and aioli. The torture was having my father supervise the consumption of the above. No matter where I went to try to dispose of the dreaded brains, I couldn't escape his watchful eye."

LIFE IS NOT A BOX OF ROSES

I am deeply moved by the sensibility of this photo. And of course, she is my mum. What a lovely child she once had been!

Photo taken by her sister in law who was a professional photographer working in the Zoo of Cologne at that time.

As you can see, I was never short of female company even when young. though I was perhaps a tad braver then. :)

Do you remember thinking when you were a school Kid, U are suppose to hold ur partners hand during excursion. I still remember, holding a pretty Girl's Hand.. Awesome Days

House hasn't changed much in the 20+ years since my parents moved... The 70's golden globe, wrought iron garage lights are still there and I think the hanging cactus might also have lasted as well!

Τα καλοκαίρια των παιδικών μας χρόνων. Παιχνίδι και ψάρεμα. Ο τόπος δεν άλλαξε καθόλου. Ελπίζω να επιβιώσει.

The summers of our childhood. Playing and fishing. The place did not change at all. I hope it will survive the “development” process.

Everybody in my family had their own childhood ornament that somehow represented a facet of their personality. In my case, I had an obsession with the moon, and would jail break from my crib to stare at it from the living room picture window.

Since it's Christmas week, I thought I'd post some Santa pics from my childhood. This was my first Santa. Look how enamored I am with him. LOL

A selection of typefaces from my childhood that I get sentimental over. Some good font resources for this kind of thing are:

Font Diner: www.fontdiner.com particularly the "In-Flight Meals" font set,

MyFonts.com: new.myfonts.com

Pink Panther: Latino font at: www.houseind.com/fonts/latino,

Superman: come on, you can do this in Word Art! But if you want a great comic font resource try: Blambot.com: www.blambot.com/fonts.shtml

Archie: Looks like Cooper Black Condensed to me: new.myfonts.com/search/(cooper+black)/fonts/

Coffee, Tea or Me: This is a Fantini variant: new.myfonts.com/fonts/canadatype/fantini/

Serendipity: I think it's just Times, with swashes... Any ideas?

MAD: a western font, here's a clone: www.haroldsfonts.com/frontpage.html

Studebaker: one of many fonts used by Studebaker, but this one is a doozy. Closest I could find was Stiletto at: www.fontdiner.com/menu_dinner.html
