My only surving MOC from when I was a kid. I made this in 1975. I found it in a box in the attic last year - untouched since the 70'ies with only a wheel or two replaced. The roof is covered with thick dust in between the studs that I'm not cleaning :-)
Does anyone else have an older MOC around?
A map of my childhood neighborhood in Boulder, CO. We moved away in 1986, when I was only 6 years old, so I don't remember it very well. It does match what I do remember, though.
Inspired by mathowie's childhood.
Childhood is the best moment in human life .
You don't care about anything other than playing and planning on how to have fun and enjoy every moment of your life.
In my opinion, one’s childhood memories are the dearest to anyone. They help in keeping the child in you alive. Moreover, it also is a reason for our smiles in between adult life.
- Through the Hummingbird Project we try to preserve childhood for as long as possible, because far too many of our children are forced into adult roles long before their time....
– Através do Projeto Beija-Flor, tentamos preservar a infância o maior tempo possÃvel, porque muitas das nossas crianças são forçadas a papéis adultos bem antes de seu tempo....

This image was cut from a an early photobooth strip. The child could literally be from anywhere in the early-mid 20th century, but this is most likely from the 1930s. My daughter in the early 2000s had a similar "fancy" handmade dress. I have always wondered who this child was and where she was from. I've long forgotten where I've bought this; a local shop, a foreign country, or a different state. Unless I find other similar images, I doubt that I'll ever know.
Childhood was a time of innocence
When life was considered to be unambiguous
When the world seemed to be fair
When the universe was based around our little brown bear
You set sail across the sea
Of long past thoughts and memories.
Childhood's end, your fantasies
Merge with harsh realities.
Everything is ceremony in the wild garden of childhood- Pablo Neruda.
