We discovered the "Little India" Restaurant on the Gold Coast Highway at Labrador in November 2009. Whilst we have previously enjoyed Indian food... however, this place is an absolute gem... We had never realized how fabulous Indian Cuisine could be until we came to this restaurant...
The food here is absolutely superb, the service is great and they will even cater to individual tastes and preferences, the restaurant is small and elegant, the portions are more generous than in other Indian restaurants and dining here is exceptionally good value.
Every time that we have dined at the Little India Restaurant, we have had a very pleasant experience and very fond memories... so much so, that we have made this our favourite restaurant.

For supper my wife prepared a corn casserole, chicken curry casserole and added corn bread from Boston Market.
Ayam beriani is apparently everyone's favourate. Tasty chicken in lightly spiced curry that satisfy even discerning palate.
The children and their parents just love this one.

My first chicken curry made in the crock pot. I chopped up an onion, threw in some frozen peas, chopped up a couple of carrots, & threw in 3 chicken breasts. I added a cup of chicken stock, a few teaspoons of Penzey's Maharajah curry powder, a few pats of butter & some black pepper. Cooked on low for 6 hours. It turned out pretty soupy but very tasty. I think it will be even better as leftovers.

When we want to eat curry, my mother will make it a point to cook it first thing in the morning, but not for lunch though.
She would let it sit and simmer slowly for over 1.5 hours, then let it rest for the rest of the day. In the evening, she would heat it up and serve the dish.
Cooking chicken curry requires you to simmer it very slowly, the Malay/Indonesian called this method of cooking "Tumis". If you can do this, then your chicken curry will be most delicious!
That's chicken curry in the little bowl and a roti for dipping. I love roti canai and I ordered it thinking that I would take home some of the main dish. I finished both and was very happy.
