Ornamental Cherry Blossoms in High Park Toronto are my favourite sign of Spring. Photo taken with a vintage Russian Helios 44-2 lens.
The cherry blossoms are at peak bloom this weekend, and huge crowds have come to enjoy them.
The cherry trees around the Tidal Basin are Japanese Yoshino flowering cherry blossoms. The first trees were a gift from Japan in 1912.
The cherry blossom festival when they bloom each spring provide a stunning display and draw huge crowds.

The Cherry Street Hotel is a heritage building on the southeast corner of Front Street and Cherry Street, in Toronto's West Don Lands. The structure originally served as a school, the Palace Street School. The school was closed in 1887. The structure underwent several expansions, and served as a hotel for most of its life.
