This was photographed in daylight with fill-flash. The branch was in sunlight and the background was darker. I further darkened the background in post-prep.
We went to the 'Chappies' Cherry Orchard today and filled ourselves with delicious berries and cherries. We came home with lots of fruits!

One of the cherry trees in the church garden is almost in full bloom, whereas the other one isn't.
The light was rather dull for this photo and it was also a bit too windy. But I didn't want to miss the chance.

My first encounter with cherries (way back when I was a child), was of the "fake" maraschino variety. They tasted awful. Needless to say, I never gave cherries another glance until I was (re)introduced to the fresh fruit not too long ago, and I can't believe all the years I've wasted scorning these wonderful things! Fresh only, of course. If they weren't so expensive, I'd really need to make up for lost time with them. =9

These photos were all taken at Greys Court National Trust Garden.
An intimate family home and peaceful estate set in the rolling hills of the Chilterns.
This picturesque 16th-century mansion and tranquil gardens were home to the Brunner family until recent years. The house exudes a welcoming atmosphere with a well-stocked kitchen and homely living rooms. The series of walled gardens is a colourful patchwork of interest set amid medieval ruins.
Other buildings from earlier eras include the Great Tower from the 12th century and a rare Tudor donkey wheel, in use until the early 20th century.
This is a photograph taken as a part of my Digital Photography course at nightschool.
Taken with a Nikon D50 + Sigma 105mm, this is actually a merger of two photographs. I took one photograph of the two cherres with the stalks tied together and suspended with white cotton. I took another of a 'twin' stalk. Both photographs were taken in shade outdoors in front of a white background. I then used photoshop to combine the two images, remove the white cotton and add the green edges. The exposure for the main part of the image (the cherries) was f/16, 1/45th second & ISO 200.
