Now that my body is healing.. it was time to see if my picture taking fingers still work. ☺
So most that know me know that I am a serious cheeseball. I found a movie the other night that I used to LOVE... and yes, it's incredibly cheesy! So this shot and song are inspired by the small things that bring big smiles ☺♥

Wasn't sure what the weather was up to today. Even now, at teatime, it's odd. So I looked round the garden this morning.
Found this snail doing his morning exercises in the hedge and just about managed a close up, even with the wind. When I looked for it again it had dropped off right into our wild strawberry patch. :(

there are days during this project where i get so sick of myself.. and also feel so much pressure to create something different and 'arty'

One from my holiday to Mexico last year. Sat on the pier watching the sun come up, I was joined by a gentleman who'd just flown in from South Africa. He's arrived at the resort in the wee small hours and his first thoughts were get the family sorted...then get down to the beach to catch the sunrise. A lovely way to start your holiday :)

i love big chunky scarves. they make life worth living...along with a million other tiny little things.
i decided to include portraits of other people in my 52 week project. i need practice with people portraits, so the rules i'm following are of my own making, and will include portraits both of myself and others. but this was from last week, and it is, of course, me. thank god for random tree stumps in the forest. they make excellent tripods.

I have my first-ever senior sessions booked at the Dallas Arboretum this morning. Bax didn't have preschool yesterday so he and I went to scope out good spots. I can't wait to get a model under these trees who actually stands still and does what I tell her too.

One of our parties this year was based around Tim Burton my all time very favorite" imaginative genius "...this was a four cheese herbal cheese ball with a collar made of spinach wraps formed over molds..a sweet outer shell and salty inside made the flavor surprises even more delicious!!! "Jack Head" in the "Nightmare Before Christmas"..Hoping one and all have a wonderful weekend..
