I'm cheating. I do know this adorable little girl. But if I have to approach a stranger, I'll never get this assignment done. I decided rather than freaking out about it and just not getting it done, I'd cheat a little.
From our favorite Bromus tectorum farm, the subject plants have long cast aside their prickly awn and the tops attain a white hue, leaving a somewhat attractive contrast to the lower parts of the weed. Walking in it these days is not so bad.
