::: 'I'll (아일)' - I Don't Wanna Fall :::

After hesitating for a while, your cold eyes hurt

Your changed tone makes me cry. What should I do

I don't wanna fall

Darling, kiss me little more

There are still many more songs left to play as beautiful as they were at the end

For you

I'm sorry to hold you for so long. Can you look at me a little longer

Don't forget

Remember, who you're seeing one day

You're the one who was everything to someone

I don't wanna fall

Darling, hold me like before

Hug me one more time

After tonight, we're gone

I don't wanna fall

Darling, kiss me little more

Even at the last minute, it was still beautiful to forget all the beautiful things that I was

My sad love that's overflowing to contain

I don't wanna fall

Darling, love me like before

Was our promise to be forever my silly dream

I don't wanna fall

Darling, kiss me little more You know, I want nobody

Take my body

My wish left behind

I don't wanna fall

Darling, stay here little more

I don't want you or me

I don't wanna fall in love again

Last fall somewhere between Halloween and Thanksgiving my wife and I stopped at a local supermarket where they had a large display of pumpkins outside of the store where we saw a crowd of people had gathered. My wife then saw a kitten hiding under the display. The cat wouldn't come out for anyone until my wife walked over and her cat whisperer routine and the kitten came out for her and right into her arms. A store employee came out with a small can of cat food and this poor cat just ate nonstop until the food was gone. Not planning on this we quickly took this scared mewing kitten to a local private no kill shelter to see if the kitten had a chip. So we dropped the kitten off and gave the shelter a small donation of $50. We called the shelter in two days and the cat had no chip and wasn't fixed. but they checked him out of disease and got a clean bill of health. My wife had fell in love with him and said she wanted to adopt him and three days later we picked him up after he had been neutered. We named him Macavity from the poem written by T.S Elliot. When we found him the weather was already cold just a few degrees above freezing with a bitter cold freeze predicted for the next week where the weather wouldn't not get above freezing even during the day. I do not believe he was a feral kitten as he was too acclimated and friendly to humans which mean someone dumped him and I have nothing but the most bitter contempt to anyone that would do that to a helpless young animal. When we took him to the shelter he weighed 2 1/2 pounds but now he is growing big and chunky and now tips the scale at 11 pounds already and he won't be year old until the end of August.

Macavity: The Mystery Cat

T. S. Eliot

1888 –

1965

Macavity’s a Mystery Cat: he’s called the Hidden Paw—

For he’s the master criminal who can defy the Law.

He’s the bafflement of Scotland Yard, the Flying Squad’s despair:

For when they reach the scene of crime—Macavity’s not there!

Macavity, Macavity, there’s no one like Macavity,

He’s broken every human law, he breaks the law of gravity.

His powers of levitation would make a fakir stare,

And when you reach the scene of crime—Macavity’s not there!

You may seek him in the basement, you may look up in the air—

But I tell you once and once again, Macavity’s not there!

Macavity’s a ginger cat, he’s very tall and thin;

You would know him if you saw him, for his eyes are sunken in.

His brow is deeply lined with thought, his head is highly domed;

His coat is dusty from neglect, his whiskers are uncombed.

He sways his head from side to side, with movements like a snake;

And when you think he’s half asleep, he’s always wide awake.

Macavity, Macavity, there’s no one like Macavity,

For he’s a fiend in feline shape, a monster of depravity.

You may meet him in a by-street, you may see him in the square—

But when a crime’s discovered, then Macavity’s not there!

He’s outwardly respectable. (They say he cheats at cards.)

And his footprints are not found in any file of Scotland Yard’s.

And when the larder’s looted, or the jewel-case is rifled,

Or when the milk is missing, or another Peke’s been stifled,

Or the greenhouse glass is broken, and the trellis past repair—

Ay, there’s the wonder of the thing! Macavity’s not there!

And when the Foreign Office find a Treaty’s gone astray,

Or the Admiralty lose some plans and drawings by the way,

There may be a scrap of paper in the hall or on the stair—

But it’s useless to investigate—Macavity’s not there!

And when the loss has been disclosed, the Secret Service say:

‘It must have been Macavity!’—but he’s a mile away.

You’ll be sure to find him resting, or a-licking of his thumbs;

Or engaged in doing complicated long division sums.

Macavity, Macavity, there’s no one like Macavity,

There never was a Cat of such deceitfulness and suavity.

He always has an alibi, and one or two to spare:

At whatever time the deed took place—MACAVITY WASN’T THERE!

And they say that all the Cats whose wicked deeds are widely known

(I might mention Mungojerrie, I might mention Griddlebone)

Are nothing more than agents for the Cat who all the time

Just controls their operations: the Napoleon of Crime!

Lately I, I've been rolling with the tide

It swept me away, to another place

Lord knows, you ain't seen enough of me

Why did I fall asleep, on a love so deep?

I fell apart when I couldn't see

I was cheating on me

Broke my own heart, when I couldn't see

I was cheating on me

Our love is like a fading melody

A song I should've sung, a note I should've reached

A loneliness, that I find hard to describe

Stayed up so many nights, I could've been by your side

I fell apart when I couldn't see

I was cheating on me

Broke my own heart, when I couldn't see

I was cheating on me

Why don't you cry?

You live this life

You live this life

I fell apart when I couldn't see

I was cheating on me

Broke my own heart, when I couldn't see

I was cheating on me

Cheating on me

I fell apart when I couldn't see

I was cheating on me

Broke my own heart, when I couldn't see

I was cheating on me

Shot for LCoF

Embleton Bay, Craster, Northumberland

As well as a sunrise at Bamburgh, I was hoping to capture this castle from the beach and do one of those eerily long exposure shots with the tide sweeping in over those wonderful black boulders to turn the scene in to spooky mystical medieval castle by the sea type of image... you get the picture!

But first, getting there... the cheapskates and lazy will head for the dead end lane at Dunstan Steads north of the castle, whereas us energetic, pay through the nose, will park at the extortionate £2 a day car park just outside Craster and take the long walk route. I'm only moaning for what's about to follow. The castle is north of the village of Craster and can be seen on the cliff top the moment you start the walk north along the coastal path. It's an impressive sight, a real fortress of defence that dominates the skyline, but you quickly sense you're not getting anywhere... just like a donkey chasing the carrot on a stick! I suppose I could blame the headwind for it took well over an hour to this point.

The castle is fenced off and a large National Trust sign displays the prices for entry - £6 per adult put free to NT members. Bargain I thought as it was too early to head to the boulder beach so we went in for a look around.

Does anyone remember P.T. Barnum and the odd quotes he may have said like "This way to the Egress" and "There's a sucker born every minute"... both apply! Once you pass through this impressive gateway... that's yer lot. Admittedly, there is a nice NT ticket office just beyond in the forecourt, but after that it's just open fields and the remains of the ruined perimeter wall. What you see from the boulder beach is just a solitary tower on the north side. Even at free admission, I still felt cheated!

It gets worse... but you'll have to wait for the next posting.

Durmitor National Park in winter, Montenegro. The Game of thrones scenes of the land beyond the wall were filmed in Iceland actually, I'm cheating in this case because I've never been to Iceland during winter, I hear it's lovely in Iceland in winter....until it isn't.

Here is an image I have created using two images. I started out with the main capture of Múlagljúfur Canyon, Iceland and have replaced the sky using the Sky Replacement tool in Photoshop to create something more dramatic. At the time we visited this part of Iceland we were blown away by the dramatic scenery this canyon had to offer but the sky was cloudless, blue and to be honest boring and offered no sky drama to compliment the landscape to create the image I had in my mind.

I know some might say this is cheating but in my eye creating an image is sometimes more that just capturing what you see on the day particularly when the elements are not in your favour so what I have done here is work in part with what I captured at the time and then enhanced it to create the final image I had in mind at the time.

Please feel free to comment and let me know what you think.

Thank you very much for stopping by and taking the time to look at this image and supporting my work.

OK Flickr this is your vote.

Let me know if you think that Photoshopping your images is cheating or is it legit use of digital pixels?

Are they born to be abused or are they to be loved as they are native - unsharpened, burned, colour adjusted etc.?

Over to you!

P.s. my photostream may suggest that you get a feeling where my answer lies ;-)
