We were chasing seals in the Atlantic Ocean, when I found this of fellow photographer (Jane Mclean) much more interesting then the seals leading us on.
A great blue heron chased by a group of red winged blackbirds. Looks like blackbirds are protecting their nest but I am not sure. Seen at Rock Creek trail.

This is E60, originally fledged in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, but now making Davenport home. He chases his prey out over the open waters of the Mississippi River with no place to hide.
Due to engineering works round Totley, the Walsall stone headed along the Chase Valley line to head back to the Peak District, seen here crossing the M6 Toll with 66161 leading 4H12 Walsall Freight Terminal to Briggs Sidings.
An older bald eagle chases a younger one that has a fish. Liked how low they were flying to the water.
Spent the early morning hours at the summit of Roan Mountain with fellow photographer Audrianna Hodge, hoping for one of North Carolina’s wonderful mountain sunrises. Although the pre-dawn colors in the east were amazingly colorful and beautiful on the drive up the Tennessee side of the mountain, we were not to achieve our goal on this day. Thick fog and clouds shrouded the mountaintop and strong wind gust were to be our constant companion while waiting at the top, hoping for a break in the cloud cover. All’s well though, got to know a new photographer who enjoys the beautiful outdoors.

A starry night on the Icefields Parkway chasing NEOWISE Comet back in July. It was a busy night to tried shoot the comet and milky way at the same time!
I wasn't exactly chasing him...okay, I was. But it is sooo much harder to capture a butterfly in the wild than in a butterfly pavilion!
Thank you for your comments and faves – they are greatly appreciated!

when do you stop?
when do you call it a day?
there are funner things to chase... more alive things.
the fact that i've started asking might be the answer.
my problem is that i'm happy. relatively,...
and that is worrying. but the fact that I am worrying is a good thing,... i guess.
maybe i'll be happier,...
and my work will suffer,...
i apologize in advance if I ever post puppies running through fields under rainbows.
Built in 1961 as the Marine Plaza Tower, and through several bank mergers it is now known as Chase Tower. It is 22 stories and 288 feet tall, and is considered Milwaukee's first modern skyscraper.
My heart's chase begins as day ends
Streaking across the burning clouds
She hides behind ocean blue thunder heads
I'll find her in the purple fields of heaven
She flirts my anticipation higher
Until she escapes into the beautiful dull of dusk
But Sunset's pretty smile soon forgotten to
Midnight's sultry stare shimmering brilliant
Like diamond waterfalls scattering from
Elegant curves as she dances beautiful
Till Dawn rises spunky with orange energy
Burning away Midnight's cool lust
She turns the sky blue like laughter
As I anxiously await Sunset

UP engine #844 roared through the countryside this past Sunday and with my hubby behind the wheel of Blondie we chased it for 50 miles. I cannot begin to describe the thrill of hearing, seeing, smelling and FEELING the awesome power of this engine as it roared past me. This engine was built in 1944, weighs over 120 tons, is a 4-8-4 configuration and has the distinction of being the ONLY steam engine to NEVER be retired by a Class I railroad in North America. What a dream come true to see this baby.
This female cheetah at full speed chasing a springbok was photographed in the wild in the Kgalagadi. (The chase was unsuccessful.)
A pair of Gadwalls (Anas strepera) was chasing another male for a territory dispute between them. It was also a real fun for them as they continued the long flight over the whole wetland length for three rounds before coming to a land in water. Though from a distance I managed some snaps after removing my monopod. Landholding a giant tele is a real challenge to frame long sequences of shots. But you need to shot it hand-hold as you get full controls in the hands. Pics was taken from Santragachi, West Bengal, India.
This mamma's 'lings sprung the coop and were paddling left and right. Now where did they go? I already loaded one shot of her searching the pond. This shot rolls over to critters who've established their base at the Bionic Gardens... and just when I I got a series of the botanicals! Boy, this female mallard has a good kick and is lucky not to be a goose. Denver just concluded the cleanup of over a thousand park geese to feed the poor at only a hundred grand. I'm selling my Thanksgiving meal ticket for cash outside the gardens. .
Did she look over behind the reeds? No wonder, looking at this pool, they charge an entry fee for everyone, even Denverites. I wonder if they have have to feed the water fowl? I don't see any standing corn fields among the high rise housing. but maybe they feed mostly on visitors' leftovers. The ducks get better feed than the American poor.
After following some of the paths that are scattered about the Denver Botanic Gardens, I found a cool spot with a load of water, a good thing on the Colorado plains. It's clear that the pool furnished a good water garden. Folks especially like water plantings at the Denver Botanical Gardens.
So I followed the original path and in my wanderings, I mostly found loads of people. This shows a change up from earlier snaps. This snap is yet another from a recent eDDie trek, this time down to the Denver Botanic Gardens. I have passed untold times but never invested my time or ponied up the entrance fee. This path shouts that upkeep here is far from free, but eDDie bought a season pass so I did another round of sponge bobbing at the right price. Boy, this place is loaded with distractions that were made for me! ...and, did I get distracted.
