A local resident and his wife pose for a photograph. Treasure Hill is a small community living on a hill on the outskirts of Taipei. The homes were originally built by soldiers from a nearby barracks but rents have soared and the place is now being taken over by artist studios. 06/12/2010, Taipei, Taiwan.

Seems far too soon for the turning of the leaves, but here we go.

Approach of Autumn

This is the beginning of what would become a very large pile of stuff to sell

He had never before changed a tire on a bike like that so it took us over two hours to get the tire off and to put it on again, and then I am not talking about the time it took him to fix the tire. The main reason why we had so much trouble taking the tire off and putting it on again was because of the drive shaft.

Because I had to pay 150 dollars for the tow truck, which I did not think was much, consider how far I was from town, I was hoping that he would not charge me more than 100 dollars for the repair. Three hours after he started to work on my bike this man charged me 30 dollars. I was so happy with the price so I paid him 50 :)

Warm regards

God grant me the serenity

to accept the things I cannot change;

courage to change the things I can;

and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;

Enjoying one moment at a time;

Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;

Taking, as He did, this sinful world

as it is, not as I would have it;

Trusting that He will make all things right

if I surrender to His Will;

That I may be reasonably happy in this life

and supremely happy with Him

Forever in the next.

Amen.

Taken while sailing on the young endeavour. I'm not sure where we were when I took the photo but I was having the time of my life. For me, this represents place because I believe it's not the physical place where you are, but rather the emotional one that matters, and what happens to you while you're there.
