The super old V the super new.
St Paul's cathedral's construction started in 1675 and the "One New change" shopping centre's construction started in 2007. Wonder which will stand longer.

Messi has become dement he doesn´t recognize me anymore,don´t understand that I am calling his name.
Someone has taken him to live at their place..and once every third week or so does he come in and eat with his sister Sia.
It is sad...he is afraid for me and I can´t cuddle him.

When walking in the "Glottertal" area, It was an interesting weather situation that day.
After a warm, sunny day, the temperatures began to fall in the late afternoon and the clouds came in over the peaks of the Black Forest. The steep vineyards were still illuminated by the sun - a lovely contrast.
By the way, the deep red vine leaves are those from Teinturier varieties.

With the CN Tower and a partially completed Sky Dome soaring in the background, battered CRHS equipment, including CN S-2 switcher No. 7988, stand exposed in the forefront on 19 March 1989. Development along the harbourfront created major changes to the old industrial landscape. One victim was the 7988 that ended up being scrapped.
Logie Head, to the east of Cullen in Morayshire, Scotland, is always a rewarding location to photograph. The weather always seems wilder there than just along the coast at Cullen. You have to be careful here though as the rocks can be very slippery and the seas big. Big swells roll in here and can change the landscape very quickly indeed so you also have to keep your wits about you and keep an eye on the water. Definitely worth the risks involved though.
The leaves are starting to change. Our days are still stupidly hot but the nights at least are cooler. Hooray.
I have no idea if this photo will ever appear as I have had annoying issues all day with Flickr.
The berries are turning red, the leaves are starting to change colour, as we slip from summer into autumn.

Rio Grande GP40 No. 3142, built Penn Central 3156 in Sept. 1968, pulls the UT40L across busy Geneva Road on Oct. 30, 1994. The train will soon come to a stop, and back 57-cars into the plant at Geneva Steel in Vineyard, Utah.
Most of what you see here is gone. Geneva Road is now a four lane overpass, the Rio Grande is long gone, and the steel mill, which shut down in 2001, was demolished and replaced with high density housing and retail developments.
The end of fall colors in Minnesota brings about one of the biggest changes in Minnesota weather. The temperature drops dramatically, the winds increase, there are more cloudy days, and there is significantly less daylight. This time of year has been incredibly hard for me over the past 7 or so years. Many of the traumatic events and hardships that I have faced have been during this period of the year. This is often a season that I dread. I rarely make it out to do any photography and it often ends up being a season of depression. I pray that the Lord would get a hold of my heart and help me to see the beauty in this season even though the pain often times clouds my vision. Oh Lord how I need You!

A well earnt retirement.....
THE ALWAYS READY is a Liverpool class lifeboat built in 1933 by J Samuel White, Cowes, Isle of Wight. She is of double diagonal construction, mahogany on oak and has a Lister diesel engine model 1PWS4. She was built as the Runswick lifeboat and operated there until 1953. In 1934 the name was changed to ROBERT PATTON THE ALWAYS READY after the loss of the Coxswain in a rescue. Sold out of service in 1954, she became the Sharpness pilot boat until 1978. After several owners she was bought by her present owner in 2007 and has since undergone a major restoration.
Standing on top of a cliff and shooting the Green Bridge in Wales, reminded me that this is the decade where so many of us finally awoke to realise that climate change is here.
I hope that part of the outcome of the US presidential election will bring a window of opportunity to change matters for the better.
Rejoining the Paris climate accord would be an encouraging first step in the right direction.
