The main purpose of this photograph is the expression of change in colors, mood and landscape. Focus is not the perfection of overlay of two photos including shadows,... Both were taken in 4 months difference at about the same handheld position.

Messi has become dement he doesn´t recognize me anymore,don´t understand that I am calling his name.
Someone has taken him to live at their place..and once every third week or so does he come in and eat with his sister Sia.
It is sad...he is afraid for me and I can´t cuddle him.
The first thing that catches your eye here is the absence of lively groups of students running from one building of the institute to another or sitting on benches between lectures and noisily discussing something... War changes everything...

This is one of the last gas-powered lamps in London.
What kind of gas?
Well, it's sewer gas. Made from human effluence. The gas builds up down there, much of it flammable. This lamp burns it off harmlessly.
There were many of them in the past, but as building and sewerage changed over the years, they were removed and replaced with electrical lighting.
There are a few still around, this one is at ///jeeps.homes.passes and the nearest stations to it are Embankment (Underground), or Charing Cross
When walking in the "Glottertal" area, It was an interesting weather situation that day.
After a warm, sunny day, the temperatures began to fall in the late afternoon and the clouds came in over the peaks of the Black Forest. The steep vineyards were still illuminated by the sun - a lovely contrast.
By the way, the deep red vine leaves are those from Teinturier varieties.

The berries are turning red, the leaves are starting to change colour, as we slip from summer into autumn.

Rio Grande GP40 No. 3142, built Penn Central 3156 in Sept. 1968, pulls the UT40L across busy Geneva Road on Oct. 30, 1994. The train will soon come to a stop, and back 57-cars into the plant at Geneva Steel in Vineyard, Utah.
Most of what you see here is gone. Geneva Road is now a four lane overpass, the Rio Grande is long gone, and the steel mill, which shut down in 2001, was demolished and replaced with high density housing and retail developments.

Yesterday was a beautiful day when I took this picture while waiting at the school bus stop... This is about to change by the weekend as we're expecting a heavy snow storm. I hope that's not the case! Photographically, it may not be a bad thing as i'm a little tired of taking autumn images.

The weather has been horrible for last weeks, cold and raining, feels like autumn. I hope the weather will change soon before all the leafs falls off. Last evening I was able to see moon briefly.
Taken from the ferry to Svinoy and Fugloy in the Faroe Islands. It is amazing how quickly the weather and mood changes on these islands.
Normally, the King Johann Monument in Dresden, as seen here, is always photographed from the front (by me too). This is because, firstly, you don't see the horse's rump, and secondly, you have the imposing Semperoper opera house in the background.
However, on this particular evening, the setting sun illuminated the Hausmann Tower so beautifully that, while searching for a suitable foreground, I decided to try this perspective.
I think (horse's rump or not) it works quite well.
Normalerweise wird das hier zu sehende König-Johann-Denkmal in Dresden immer von vorn fotografiert (auch von mir). Weil man zum Einen nicht auf den Hintern des Pferdes schaut und weil man dann zum Anderen die imposante Semperoper im Hintergrund hat.
An diesem Abend hier brachte die untergehende Sonne jedoch den Hausmannsturm so schön zum Leuchten, dass ich mich, auf der Suche nach einem geeigneten Vordergrund, mal für diese Perspektive entschieden habe.
Ich finde (Pferdehintern hin oder her), dass passt auch ganz gut.

I may not always get to thank you for every fave or reply to a comment that you might leave here on my image but, just know each comment is read and very much appreciated.
Its been over 40 yrs since the only other encounter with this species in the Peak District when I was around 15, for me its been a bird you don't stumble upon even in suitable habitat. So to have an encounter like this was an exciting moment and to be able to get it on camera something else. I have been asked not to post details of location etc as to protect this vulnerable species.
I have a quick trip to Slovakia over Easter so wont be on here for a while. Plus FLICKR has played ball this morning allowing me to catch up with no hiccups for a change.

Nights are colder now. Weather is changing fast. It´s lovely to watch the moves of nature.
