"Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek. - Barack Obama
i hate the size of this /:
sorry, this is a bit late. I promise
it was taken yesterday though!
as you all know, or at least i hope, today was
the inauguration of president barack obama.
i'm not exactly sure how i feel about him just yet.
some days i am just in awe with his words, and
other days i feel like he's the wrong man for the job.
if you disagree, you of course have the
right, but i'm not up for an argument tonight.

A small alleyway off Haiain road selling clothes and local foods. Tainan city in the south west of Taiwan was the first area to host Europeans. The old port city had fallen into decline and was rejuvenated by artists who moved into the derelict buildings and brought them back to life. 10/12/2010, Tainan, Taiwan.

rather than toxic tar sands.

The pilot stage of Actors of Urban Change has come to an end, and yet it is the beginning of a beautiful friendship since Actors has already become a vivid network of commited people.
From May 8 to 11, the Participants of the first generation and local guest from the participating cities came again to Berlin to celebrate and show their achievements during the Closing Ceremony in the representative office of the Robert Bosch Stiftung.
This was following in depth workshops, evaluating the respective developments within the teams, projects and the program, which were carried out on the premises of the ZKU - Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik.
Getting back to real urban challenges, May 10, was filled with three field trips in different districts of the city to recontextualize the Berlin experience.

(Image 9 of 10) A series of pictures showing how people react to me and my camera. It's about how we feel about ourselves and how we react to getting our photograph taken without being asked for our permission. In an age of self endulgent selfies and CCTV cameras everywhere, why are we all so protective of how we look?
Saturday 22 January Edwin Stolk organized the action/happening "A LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE" at 3 pm at the entrance of De Appel. He invited people to create together a queue from the pay desk inside De Appel, to the sidewalk outside. Between 3 pm till 3.30 pm nobody entered he museum, after that everybody went his/her own way [flash mob]. The happening is a reaction on governmental ideas that visitor ratings are going to decide if a museum is important. In the same time the happening created a lived connection between the art institute and the public space. Art, art institute, connected by a lived art experience with the public opinion over art by a large part of a potential audience.

Old and new 20 pence pieces - only 6 years between them - I think something must have happened to the tatty one
For my first mission ever didn't have time to think to far outside of the box so just went with the obvious - Some change as in coins but for this one I have at least shown another aspect of the word "change"
Although you can't see them in this photo, a lot of high thin clouds were working their way in from the SW and were eating away at the light. Eventually it got so bad that I decided to call it quits and headed for my car. Halfway there it things brightened considerably, and a w/b green appeared on M1, so I changed my mind and headed down the platform to set up a dark side capture.
