You can tell the seasons are changing not only by the missing leaves but the horses' coats are getting a little longer and thicker. right now they are looking pretty slick but when you pet them you can tell there are changes. They will definitely change in appearance by the end of next month to those long shaggy winter coats.
Bicycle+ NGO and group of environmental activists, Yerevan, Armenia – raising
awareness on climate change and promoting alternative ways of transportation
A group of environmental activists together with Bicycle+NGO organized a Green
Bike Tour on October 10, 2010. About 40 cyclists gathered in front of
Matenadaran, the institute of ancient manuscripts, to start their route and to
disseminate information on climate change issues and to demonstrate the
necessity for alternative modes of transportation on the main streets of
Yerevan. The picture in shape of 350 formed with bicycles became so famous that
was used by CNN

about sea level rise, flooding, and the present un-sustainable mode of

Hargeisa (Arabic: هرجيسا) is the capital of the state Somaliland and the second largest city in Somalia.
These photos are a small side-project from a field mission documenting the work of the Finnish NGO Physicians for Social Responsibility - specifically their long-running effort around TB in Somalia.
P.S. It is not uncommon for words in Somali to have several different spellings in English [e.g. Hargeysa / Hargaysa].
P.P.S. If you've got appetite for more Africa then do see this collection.

For a change (instead of seagulls) here's a photo of Pixy - a photo of him on the bed in sunshine through a window, taken the same morning as First for 2009!
This man was sitting on a bench at my locat park. I took a shot of him as he was counting the change in his hands. I was nervous to take the shot, but luckily the picture turned out very well.
