They hadn't seen each other in 20 years. For some reason I got invited along.
"you havent changed a bit!"
"oh no I have! but you havent change a bit at all!"
Here, that seems to be a compliment.
How baffling.
Herkes dünyayı değiştirmeyi düşünür, ama kimse kendini değiştirmeyi düşünmez. Tolstoy
Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.
I was supposed to do something else today. Things can change fairly quickly. I do have this back-log of issues, but I was saving these for Sunday. Instead of reading them, I think I'll use the extra time to expend more on freelance opportunities.

I could have shopped this sucker 'till the pixels thought they were squares, but I had the need to do something raw, with little to none except some obvious color change.
I started Guitar lessons and im inspired to think about what cover art I might commission for myself....You never know.....I might want to be a SUPERSTAR....lol
Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them - that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like. (Lao Tzu)
Numerous townships are being over run with large windmills that have changed the landscape dramatically.
Title seems hard to understand. Old parts of St.Pauli (this hairdresser) disappear and the new ones are the "Dancing Towers" it's the reflection in the window. This summer the hairdresser was still on duty, now he's gone. In front of the hairdresser where the "Esso Häuser".
The modern city of Alba Iulia is located near the site of the important Dacian political, economic and social center of Apulon, which was mentioned by the ancient Greek geographer Ptolemy. After Dacia became a province of the Roman Empire, the capital of Dacia Apulensis was established here, and the city was known as Apulum. Apulum was the largest city in Roman Dacia and was the seat of the XIII Gemina Legion. Apulum is the largest castrum located in Romania, occupying 37.5 hectares (93 acres) (750 x 500 m2). The early Slavic name of the settlement was Bălgrad (meaning "white castle" or "white town"). The "white city" name was Latinized into Alba Julia. Between 1541 - 1690 it was the capital of the Eastern Hungarian Kingdom and the Principality of Transylvania. Alba Iulia is historically important for Hungarians, Romanians and Transylvanian Saxons. The change of guard, troops from the city's Austrian Empire's infantry, cavalry and artillery divisions in their traditional military costumes, happens every day at 12 pm. It takes place nearby the 3rd and 4th Citadel Gates, two of the largest and most imposing of the citadel's seven gates and is attended by a large crowd.
In a seemingly depressing news week there was potential for some good news. Doubt has been cast on the future of the Garden Bridge in London. Millions of public money has been wasted already but at least more might not be spent. This would bring to an end to public money being used to create a public place/private space in central London within sight of the City banking area. Imagine if bankers of today followed the example of their Victorian counterparts and paid to create public spaces in London (and other cities), especially in more deprived areas.

As the sun changes angle and rising later and later, new things become illuminated in my kitchen in the morning. Today, the shells on our windowsill glowed.
We got this urchin test at a shell shop on the Pacific coast and I'm not certain of the species, but it must be an impressive one to have spine scars of this scale...
Much as we hate it, changes are a natural part of life. One aspect ends; another starts...
I'm generally okay with this. When I can control those changes.
Lately, it feels like everything is spinning away from my control. Like life is caught in a whirlwind of scattered leaves and debris...

Changing from 10 inch platform boots to 7 inch locking stiletto ankle boots. I can't believe its been a year since I bought these boots. Each are difficult to walk in especially the ankle boots but I do have to admit it is fun.

Diversity: the art of thinking independently together.
Malcolm Forbes
When power leads man toward arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
John F. Kennedy
Real cultural diversity results from the interchange of ideas, products, and influences, not from the insular development of a single national style.
Tyler Cowen
Today when I think about diversity, I actually think about the word 'inclusion.' And I think this is a time of great inclusion. It's not men, it's not women alone. Whether it's geographic, it's approach, it's your style, it's your way of learning, the way you want to contribute, it's your age - it is really broad.
Ginni Rometty
We need to give each other the space to grow, to be ourselves, to exercise our diversity. We need to give each other space so that we may both give and receive such beautiful things as ideas, openness, dignity, joy, healing, and inclusion.
Max de Pree
What I'm trying to do is get a change in the mindset so people move from a level of mere tolerance to total acceptance and eventually to celebrate diversity. If you feel comfortable with one another, it doesn't matter whether we live in which neighbourhood but we can interact with one another freely. It's a mindset.
Najib Razak
Diversity on the bench is critical. As practitioners, you need judges who 'get it!' We need judges who understand what discrimination feels like. We need judges who understand what inequality feels like. We need judges who understand the subtleties of unfair treatment and who are willing to call it out when they see it!
Debbie Wasserman Schultz
We need to reject any politics that targets people because of race or religion. This isn't a matter of political correctness. It's a matter of understanding what makes us strong. The world respects us not just for our arsenal; it respects us for our diversity and our openness and the way we respect every faith.
Barack Obama
Right now, when we're hearing so much disturbing and hateful rhetoric, it is so important to remember that our diversity has been - and will always be - our greatest source of strength and pride here in the United States.
Michelle Obama

All the elements came together for this photo. But even now in mid-April the landscape is changing almost before my eyes. The green peach fuzz evident on the background tree represents the first signs of budding and leafing. I'm thrilled by the rebirth of vegetation after the long darkness of winter. However I'm always torn as the starkness of bare tree limbs gradually fades away. I love spring and summer and warmth and light. But I also love the atmosphere created by the bleakness of fall and winter. It's really the cornerstone of my photographic passion.
Ever changing weather is the most interesting :))
About:
Last evening the weather changed all the time with a lot of different cloud formations, in between some sun too. A few thunderstorms moving by too. Me and Ludo got caught in one of them, I manged to keep my Camera fairly dry though :))
This was one of the results, the angel to the sun is about 90°, making some interesting shadows on the rocks :))
Thanks
In and out of Explore, thanks to all for comments and faves :))

Another poster supporting action on Climate Change. It is amazing how our government leaders seem to live in a bubble of denial.

The tides are always on the move and changing. Such is life, just when you think you have it figured out, here comes the sleeper wave! Taken on a February evening on the coast of California.
The changing leaves of autumn colored brightly red and gold,
Also bring a warning of the coming winter cold.
As the wind is changing from the milder summer breeze,
You can feel the difference as it echoes through the trees.
As I shuffle down the path leading through the park,
As the days grow shorter now and soon it will be dark.
I realize that life is like the seasons we live through,
Life is like the changing seasons always changing too.
D1062 'Western Courier' is on the centre road at Bristol Temple Meads on 2 March 1974. The actual working is not recorded, although 1A45 suggests Penzance to Paddington; did it come this way?
D1062 was withdrawn less than six months later at a mere 11 years old, but was later to become the first of the class to be preserved and is currently active on the Severn Valley Railway.

I had a lovely night out wearing this dress once again, Its such a fab frock to dance around in. The new hair needs to settle in a bit give a few weeks of abuse and it will look as natural as can be.
