Vancouver's Little Mountain Little League Challenger Division team play Clinton LL from Michigan in the Little League World Series Exhibition Game at Volunteer Stadium.
The second exhibition for my May series on oxford Artweeks is Jill Green's "One Unholy Journey". For this Jill transformed the ground floor of her suburban house into an art installation based on 12 years work for peace in Palestine.
The real olive tree in the middle of the living room was loaned to Jill by the Convent in Freeland, Oxfordshire, who in turn were given it by Franciscans to aid in Prayers for Peace in Palestine. The tree is in fragile condition having suffered but survived two very hard winters.

The Ballater Boules Challenge takes place in the Highlands of Scotland fortnightly between late October and early April each year with an average turn out of 40 players at each gathering.
The 'Challenge' is played on varied weather controlled pistes. One week ice, the next snow is cleared followed by torrrential rain at another gathering.
The 'Challenge' claims to be the only group in the UK to play throughout the whole of the winter and in any conditions!

Challenge #6 - Layering. Cut several layers of fabric and stack them. Create your design by sewing and then cutting away to reveal the different fabrics.
UK letterpress devotees may not be familiar with these style of quoins which I find very useful for locking up large formes of wood type. The ones shown are 6 inch and 7.5 inches, and I do have a 9 inch as well. They expand incrementally 1 point at a time as the key is clicked around.
Diva Challenge 81. Love doing mandalas and this one was no exception. Drawn on watercolour paper with micron pen and watercolour pencils.
Now for something different - Week 2 Challenge. CC appreciated. I intend to have another go at this one tomorrow. It was only after that I realised I should have finished each 12 x 12 inch part before placing them together to get the final panel.
