PRESIDIO OF MONTEREY, California -- 229th Military Intelligence Battalion Soldiers competed in the Warrior Challenge at the Price Fitness Center field May 2. The grueling team competition challenged Soldiers' physical fitness and their ability to work in teams -- as they competed in a series of seven endurance events. The Echo-HHC joint team came out on top with the coveted Commander's Cup presented by 229th Commander Lt. Col Toni Sabo.

Challenge was to draw your string with your "Eyes Wide Shut". Daunting at first until I remembered that a string is only a "suggestion" or a starting point. It's actually a lot of fun and I think I'll do it more. I did two. On the left, tangles are Hypnotic, Verve and Ving. On the right the tangles are Socc, Crescent Moon, Betweed, Zander, Florz, and Ennies "variation".

My response to the PMQG / Michael Miller Neon challenge for April. Full inside with quilting. I'm trying to tell myself that the elastic is perfectly even, just squishing up the fusible fleece side.
This is a rare 1972 Dodge Challenger that was on display at the show.
Taken at Marong Picnic Car Show, Victoria in 2015.
I used a photo of a white lily from my garden and combined with a photo of a green frog I found hanging onto the side of a toilet.. I added a photo if the underside of a helicopter pad plus required textures etc.
The final day of the 2022 Army JROTC National Raider Championships saw individual Cadets testing their physical and mental ability in the Ultimate Raider Challenge on November 6. Cadets competed in a timed footrace and obstacle course that ended with the Cadets scaling an 8-foot wall. Andy Murray challenges a decision by the umpire, calling upon 'Hawk-Eye' to see whether a shot by Wawrinka was in or out. (He lost the challenge - the shot was in). Inside the Hawk-Eye observation office high up in centre court at WImbledon, during the match last night between Andy Murray and Stanislas Wawrinka. Andy Murray won in 5 sets to go through to the quarter finals of the tournament.

Sketchbook Challenge theme this month was Earth Scapes and I just couldn't think of anything then I saw this stream and a bit of green happening....just sort of blurred my eyes and went for it.
Doesn't really look like a stream but I like it!;)
