I used the silhouette to cut the flourishes, labels, and carriage. I used the negative of the flourishes as a template for my misting spray. This card was created as part of a challenge to use B/W plus one color. TFL!

Week 20 challenged us to explore the world of Textures and our members netted 2 Explores in the process. And what a wonderful variety of Textures we found along the way!

There is nothing nicer than sitting "Still" in the garden with a cup of tea (mug, in this case), reading the latest magazine from RSPB, with the camera at the ready!

PS - can you see whose "garden" it is? Clue, look above the chair:)

Compositionally Challenged week 25 is Smiles. This is SOOC. I was walking around, camera in hand, looking for something for Week 25. Charlie ran in front of me, flopped down, and started squirming. I pointed the camera at him, and this was the shot I found right in front of me.

Whenever my cats do that, I always think it's their way of saying "Aren't I cute? Don't you feel the need to stop what you're doing and pay attention to me?"

How can I ignore that?

How can I not smile?

The complex has a very touching display to memorialize the tragedies of the Challenger and the Columbia.

It was fascinating to step into this particular corner to see pieces that were recovered from both of those incidents.

Second photo of the weekly challenge I have with /insecticidasparadragones and /J0R63

This week I chose the word. I thought that it was a good opportunity to show what means for me the photography, something that ultimately wrap me. The perfect photo has not gone out, but I think that this one has elements in common with the photo of the last week: My face is not visible completely and the use of the atrezzo.

Previous Challenge: Here.

I have to admit this was a last minute panic shot. My first idea involved the posing crew but I forgot it was half term and they are all away. I knew what I was going to take for my back up plan and waited all week for Friday, the only day where the weather was forecast to oblige with the right conditions. sadly the weather was not as forecast so this is it, the result of a panic. Reflections in my garage window.

I made this card for the Caardvarks challenge. I loved all the stamping and inking I did on this one. I cut the label shape on my Silhouette Digital cutter.

I'll post on Flickr when internet speeds allow, it's just that I wont be able to get round to commenting quite as much ... but I will when I can!

Cheers Jack

I will be using this camera in week 471 of my 52 film cameras in 52 weeks project:

For the first full week in 2019 of my 52 cameras in 52 weeks project, I decided to use my dad's Lizars Challenge folding plate camera. This dates from around 1905 and is in very good condition. I will be using a roll film back as I don't have any glass plates. I expect to take most of the 8 exposures indoors using a tripod, bit I hope to try a couple outside. I've loaded it with Rollei Pan ISO 25 black and white negative film.
