“I have found that anything that comes out of the South is going to be called grotesque by the Northern reader, unless it is grotesque, in which case it is going to be called realistic.”

In the early 1960s, you would have found the Caravan Lounge inside San Jose’s Greyhound bus terminal. The San Jose Caravan used to be part of a chain, which included cocktail lounges in the Sacramento, Salinas and Santa Cruz Greyhound bus stations. When Greyhound opted to part ways with the Caravan, original San Jose owner, Leo Chargin, decided to do the public a service and relocate the bar. Consistently voted the Silicon Valley’s “Best Dive Bar” by Metro readers, the Caravan Lounge has been sitting at its current location, 98 S. Almaden Ave., since 1964.
Picture the scene and the thought process that subsequently races through your mind you see the long legs first across the cafe, oh yes she is wearing black fully fashioned stockings, can i see her stocking tops? Oh the anklet delicately and teasingly poised over her nylons, what does that suggest and then you notice the cigarette and the long red nails holding it and smoker or not your fetish floods your senses. You check your wife or partner opposite you isn't looking and set your gaze again on that vision indulging your fantasies hoping to catch her eye.....admit it you do don't you as you watch her cross her legs, what thoughts are you thinking? do tell us all....x
Benjamin Markarian who died on 29 September 1985 was an Armenian astrophysicist who gave his name to Markarian's Chain of galaxies in the Virgo Cluster after he discovered that this string of galaxies moves with a common motion. The Virgo Cluster is the nearest cluster of galaxies and contains over 2000 galaxies. It has a noticeable gravitational pull on the galaxies of our own Local Group of Galaxies which surround our Milky Way. The centre of the Virgo Cluster is located about 70 million light-years away toward the constellation of Virgo.
This image shows part of Markarian's Chain and is marked by the Messier galaxies M84 and M86 to the right and the interacting pair of galaxies NGC 4438 and NGC 4435, known as The Eyes or ARP 120, in the centre of the image. There are many small, faint galaxies in this image.
The image comprises 20 luminance and eight each of RGB subs, all of five minutes exposure.

Just screwing around with some Ogrum masks in LDD. Thought chaining them together would create some interesting texture.

I just couldn't find the chain I wanted to use for this weeks theme, so in the end used the chain from my cross. Turned it to mono as it looked better, or I think it does.
Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites.
"Macro Mondays".. "Chain". This chain & sprocket are unused and date back to the 1960s. I had to open two BMC "British Motor Corporation" parts packets to photograph these items. The oily appearance is the original anti-corrosion preservative.
Just over the bridge by the first segment of Chain Lake - a wild lake in the Harrison Hills. There is a campsite here if you want to trek in.
