Today I got the Vivitar CF out of the box. This really is an amazing lens. I did saturate the colors in post a bit on this one.
I have no idea what this flower is I'm sure someone here will know. The Botanical Gardens are a treat but, if you come know it is about a 1 mile walk to the Orchid park and once inside that area another good bit of a walk. Not far but, the heat can be oppressive if you have a back pack my advice think your gear thru and go light.
I rarely see any mention of this Vivitar 135MM CF lens. The "real one" 62mm filter thread. I got mine for about $130 US and it is truly in pristine condition maybe because I got the OM mount version. If you are looking for a vintage 135mm I would throw this one in the mix because it does have very close focusing ability.

Aparentemente en el bosque de ribera no había nada, pero al volver un viejo tronco de chopo, escondido entre sus huecos carcomidos, apareció este hermoso hongo , como pequeños abanicos blancos, suaves y afieltrados, adheridos lateralmente a la madera muerta. No tiene pie visible: simplemente nace pegado al soporte, como si brotara directamente de la memoria del árbol que fué.
Con el tiempo, sus láminas —primero blancas, luego suavemente ocráceas por la maduración de las esporas— se arquean desde un punto central, recordando la forma de una concha marina perdida en mitad del monte. Vive de lo que ya ha caído, saprófito paciente, transformando restos vegetales en vida futura.
No tiene valor culinario, pero sí un encanto silencioso: el de esas especies que, sin llamar la atención, sostienen el ciclo del bosque. Allí donde lo encuentras, sabes que la descomposición sigue su curso, que el monte respira.

Great to see one this early. Currently on SORN, so no way of knowing how long it's been off the road.
I have previously photographed the Skoda alongside it, which doesn't appear to have moved in the last year or so since I first saw it.
Qube G512 slows down for the cross over from the down V/Line broad gauge line to cross over to Hanson Quarry (just behind me) across the ARTC North-East Line, with 9341 empty stone train from Brooklyn.
G512 is one of 2 G class owned by CFCLA (now Rail First Asset Management), at this time G515 had already been rebranded.

Worldwide Photowalk in Taipei, Taiwan. For the 2nd time in the past 3 years a typhoon (hurricane) has come through on Photowalk day which certainly impacted our walk with most people choosing to stay home..

The sun broke though the clouds when this Canadian Hornet took off.
There are six Hornets at Leeuwarden for Frisian Flag. It's nice to see them back in Europe. Most of them were stationed in West Germany once.
The one pictured here is 188797. I was at Baden Sollingen on 19 January 1993 when this particular bird left Germany and flew back to Canada.
