Charles Fondu built railway equipment in the Belgian city of Vilvorde (historically known as Filford in English, and launched into car production in 1906. This is one of the first models (chassis No.4).
The bodywork is made of pitch pine, by Victor Decunsel based in Molenbeek. A luxurious finish with chased glass and ivory accessories.
Fondu granted a production licence to Russo-Baltique, a company based in Riga, Latvia, at that time a member of the Russian Empire.
This 1906 Fondu CF has a 4,850 cc 30 hp engine and is on display at Autoworld, Belgium’s national motor museum, in Brussels.

Delightful teeny tiny spider I photographed in South Australia. I believe it should be some kind of juvenile thomisid.
A sad announcement came from the RCAF yesterday: there will not be a CF-18 demonstration team for the 2025 airshow season. The RCAF is currently transitioning from its CF-18s to more advanced F-35As. Given the rapidly deteriorating state of global peace and stability, it seems they need to prioritize readiness.

The CF-18 Hornet Demo Team lit up the Friday night sky at Airshow London! 🌌 Shooting in the dark isn’t easy, but those afterburners make it all worth it!
A staple on the Canadian air show scene since 1983, CF-18 Hornet tactical demonstrations will continue to showcase the high level of skill, professionalism and teamwork inherent to the members of the RCAF, inspiring future members of the RCAF and highlight the capabilities of Canada’s longest serving frontline fighter.
Canada announced that advanced negotiations with Lockheed Martin for 88 F-35s would begin, The F-35 is the top bid for the Future Fighter Capability Project while Saab's proposal for the Gripen came in second. The Canadian government noted that the Gripen may be chosen if negotiations with Lockheed Martin stall.[ This decision was to ensure a reasonable price for the aircraft. If negotiations succeed and Canada agrees a contract with Lockheed Martin, deliveries should begin in 2026, with final delivery in 2032.
A pair of clean CFCL Australia C44aci locos lead a container train southwards through the trees in bright front-and-side lighting. Graham Cotterall would be pleased. Well, he was smiling at the time.
