Erik Zo ( Cycle Messenger Cargo World Champion - 2008 Toronto ) stated the only acceptable center stand for his new Bilenky cargo bike would allow him to "get to a race late, put down the stand, hop up on the top tube and not have the bike move" . I think we nailed it!
Yay it came the other day! My certificate of eligibility! Now I can finish applying for my visa and I am set for Japan well papers wise I am. I haven't started packing yet. Yuck what an awful picture of my where did they get that from?

Once upon a time, paper money was a certificate-- usable as legal tender or exchangeable for silver at a bank. This gold standard unraveled in 1971 when Richard Nixon eliminated the gold standard in the United States. This was especially damaging to countries around the world since they had agreed to the Bretton Woods Agreement in 1944, which pegged all world currencies to the gold-backed, U.S. dollar making it the reserve currency of the world.
Since the U.S. completely left the gold standard in 1971, printing money has drastically escalated since it is no longer restricted to gold reserves. For years, we had a false sense of wealth and prosperity based on this printed money (easy credit), which actually represents debt. This is evident with the crashing of the housing bubble, which exposed our wealth as an illusion of debt. Now that the U.S. economy is in a recession-- because of the Bretton Woods Agreement-- most economies of the world are suffering from the U.S.'s negligent spending, which is ultimately unavoidable with a fiat currency system.
With bailout after bailout and stimulus plan after stimulus plan, the U.S. is now tinkering with hyperinflation. Let's hope our 'economic planners' pick up a history book before it's too late, e.g., Japan, Zimbabwe, Weimar Republic, Hungary, etc--
Spending a country's way out of a recession has NEVER worked in the history of the world!

At the Courtyard Marriott-University of Delaware in Newark, 15 students from UD’s Career & Life Studies Certificate (CLSC) program gathered Wednesday, Oct. 17, to participate in career-building experiences during Delaware’s Disability Mentoring Day. The students had breakfast and heard from previous participants about the experiences they had in the program.
The students then transitioned to work sites in the Newark area for job-shadowing experiences. Sites the student went to were: VCA Newark Animal Hospital, Casino at Delaware Park (Security), WVUD radio, Ricciardi Brothers, Fair Hill (Md.) State Park, UD Office of Education Technology, Gambles Florist, STAR Nurse Managed Primary Care Clinic, Trilogy Salon, Newark Police Department, Brewed Awakenings, U.S. Sen. Chris Coons’ office, the Disability Law Center, Bancroft Construction and Veterinary Specialty Center.
Following their experiences at the job sites, the students and their mentors returned to the Marriott for lunch and a panel discussion.
Disability Mentoring Day is a national program, and in Delaware, the collaboration involves several agencies, educational institutions, business groups, and organizations, including the University of Delaware’s Center for Disabilities Studies, which started the first Disability Mentoring Day in Delaware nine years ago. Joining the collaboration are the Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS), the Department of Labor’s Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, the Department of Education, the New Castle County Transition Committee, the Delaware Business Leadership Network and Easterseals of Delaware & Maryland Eastern Shore.
The group is co-chaired by two young people with disabilities – Alyssa Cowin, an operations support specialist with DHSS, and Julia Hensley, who is working through Easterseals at Victory Fellowship Church.
