A few years after our initial safety training we went down to Point Lookout State Park to get a refresher course on blackpowder saftey. This time we even got certificates to prove we are qualified. Sojan (aged 14) was nine years old when he came to Dhaka from the countryside with his parents. When they arrived, he got lost and has never been able to find them. .
He ended up living on the street and working in a hotel (a roadside restaurant) as a hotel boy. He was wrongly arrested and imprisoned by the police but was able to use his birth certificate, which Plan helped him obtain, to prove he was under 18 and therefore being illegally held in an adult jail. While in jail he met many other inmates who claimed to be under 18 but had no birth certificate to prove it and so no legal right to be released. .

Birth:
Helen was born in 1928 to Arthur Oscar Freudenberg (1891-1968) and Marie Elizabeth Winblad (1895-1987)
Baptism:
She was baptised at Scandanavian Evangelical Lutheran Trinity Church, Jersey City, New Jersey.
Siblings:
Her siblings include: Naida Muriel Freudenberg (1915-1998); and Selma.
Father Abandoned Family:
Arthur abandoned the family after Helen's birth. The oral family tradition was that Arthur left Maria for a burlesque stripper. At one point Arthur was living with Edlycoe Klynman but this was in the 1960s. In 1930 the family was living at 9 Claremont Avenue, Jersey City, Hudson County, New Jersey and Otto Winblad, Maria's brother was living with them.
Eddie Ganlan:
In 1947 Helen got pregnant from the butcher's son, Eddie Ganlan from Bower Street.
John Borland:
When she was ready to have the child, a sailor she was dating, John Borland (1924-1986), took her home to Bowerston in Carroll County, Ohio to have the baby and he married her. The child was Michael Joseph Borland (1947- ) and Helen gave her sister's name, Selma, to put on the bith certificate.
Marriage and Children:
Two children followed: John II and Steven.
Divorce:
Helen and John divorced and Helen married Al Brindley, a sea captain. John married Geraldine Marie Winblad (1928- ) in 1979. Geraldine was the daughter of Helen's mother's brother, Otto Winblad.
Death:
Helen died on April 24, 1989 of cancer and she was cremated.
Cremation:
He remains were cremated.
Burial of Ashes:
Her ashes are buried with her mother at Grave 4-I North, Lot 428, New York Bay, Bay View Cemetery, Jersey City, Hudson County, New Jersey.

Selma Freudenberg (1921- ) said on July 20, 2003: "Helen worked as a keypunch operator, first for the Army in Hoboken. I got her that job, because she was my sister. After that she worked at other keypunching jobs. A key puncher would operate a machine to code data onto computer cards. Later she worked for Hilton Hotels in Manhattan doing keypunch. She hated taking the tube home at night back to Jersey City at 1 am and eventually they let her sleep over in the hotel. Her African-American friend, Audrey who used to work for Helen when she was a manager in New Jersey got her the job at the Hilton."

Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman the Honorable Education Minister, presided the ceremony as the Chief Guest. The “Certificate Of Merit Award Ceremony” is the University’s time-tested way to celebrate the achievements of young, talented and very hard-working students of HU.
40 meritorious male and female students from various disciplines were awarded the Certificate by the honorable Education Minister. In his address to the students he expressed that he was delighted to see state of the art infrastructure at Hajvery University, which reminded him of a European university. He further went on to add that the Hajvery University’s International Relations with other leading universities in Europe, Turkey and Asian countries is an excellent achievement.
Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman also shared the achievements of Punjab government, which has provided a sum of Rs 10 billion to promote the school education for the marginalized strata, adding 1.5 million deserving students in 36 districts would benefit. He added, that a sum of Rs 46 billion would be spent on the school education sector to elevate it according to the international standards. He claimed that more than three million children had been given admissions to schools as a result of primary enrolment campaign launched by the Punjab government.

The DGNB System: Global Benchmark for Sustainability
There are a number of certification systems for sustainable building. The DGNB System is unique. It provides an objective description and assessment of the sustainability of buildings and urban districts. Quality is assessed comprehensively over the entire life cycle of the building. The DGNB Certification System can be applied internationally.
Due to its flexibility it can be tailored precisely to various uses of a building and even to meet country-specific requirements. The outstanding fulfilment of up to 50 sustainability criteria from the quality sections ecology, economy, socio-cultural aspects, technology, process work flows and site are certified. The system is based on voluntarily outperforming the concepts that are common or usual today.
If a performance requirement is met, the DGNB awards the DGNB certificate in bronze, silver, gold and platinum. In addition, there is the option of simple pre-certification in the planning phase.both condos and rented apartments.
Protecting resources, using energy efficiently and planning future-oriented districts – sustainable building objectives offer solutions for challenges which are truly global. Therefore the
