Although Candi Asu doesn't seem to be ancient to me, I decided to include it here because of its proximity to the marvelous Candi Gedong Songo and because of the yoni in the center of this picture which could be originated in the Central Javanese Period.

Surroundings: In upper middle land, on the southern slope of Mount Ungaran. The temple group is located on the western side of the canyon, at the top of a flattened hill. The temple group is located 200m to the south of Gedong Songo IV. Alt.: 1380m.

Several sculptures were found in the direct surroundings, among others one Ganesha, a bull, 3 lingga, one Agastya, one yoni and one Durga.
In my view this is a typical Javanese house, called Joglo(?). Klaten, central Java.
On my trip from Yogyakarta to Bali, my bus' air conditioner was broken so all passenger had to get out and waited for the substitute. The driver parked just few meters from one of the trans-province road junction. Had spending almost 2 hours, I decided to stroll nearby and had a brunch of Bakso.
