These are ‘back-to-back’ to the statue of Vajrapani inside the cella." The site's storyboard mentioned Bodhisattva Devi Cunda among Buddha figures."

Mendut is a ninth-century Buddhist temple, located in Mendut village, Mungkid sub-district, Magelang Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. The temple is located about three kilometres east from Borobudur. Mendut, Borobudur and Pawon, all of which are Buddhist temples, are located in one straight line. There is a mutual religious relationship between the three temples, although the exact ritual process is unknown. The temple was built around early ninth century AD during the reign of King Indra of Sailendra dynasty. Mendut temple was discovered in 1836. The entire structure was found, except the roof that had already crumbled.

There is a growing demand for more sustainably sourced wood products. This trend looks set to continue with an increasing number of Western consumers becoming aware of the impact that the illegal trade in timber has on forests and the communities living near forests. Legislation such as the US Lacey Act and the European Voluntary Partnership Agreement have been established to ensure that businesses meet sustainability criteria. Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) and the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) help Jeparans and carvers from other furniture producing towns stay ahead of the game through projects that promote better producer institutions and tap small scale producers into sustainable markets. Loro Jonggrang or Prambanan temple is a wide compound made out of three courtyards and corresponding enclosure walls.

The first (or inner) courtyard measures 103m x 103m.

8 buildings occupy the courtyard. In the western part of the courtyard is a row of three huge temples (known as candi Brahma, Siwa and Wisnu), the widest (candi Siwa) being at the centre.

Located respectively to the north and south of candi Siwa, candi Wisnu and Brahma are two identical buildings.

In the eastern part of the courtyard, in front of the above- mentioned buildings are three smaller shrines in a line. Those shrines are commonly known as candi wahana, or temples for the „vehicle animals”, Hamsa, Nandi and Garuda of the three main Gods (Brahma, Siwa and Wisnu, respectively).

Candi Ngempon is composed of at least eight buildings. Five of these buildings are enclosed by a wall of river stones, while the three others are located outside of the enclosure.

The five inner buildings are gathered into two rows. To the west, one finds the main temple and, north of the latter, a secondary shrine. Facing those constructions is a row of three secondary buildings.
