Although Candi Asu lies merely one km to the south of the Candi Gedong Songo complex, the path leading to it is not easy to find. From the main road Bandungan- Sumowono heading to the west turn right after Balai Desa Candi at a gate or gapura with Javanese writings on it.
Follow the road to the north and after leaving the houses of the village behind, turn right on an unpaved path at the bamboo forest. At the end of the path turn right again, you will see big stones on this road - which is on the picture, covered with leaves. After fifty meters the temple will be on your left.
