The visual beauty of todays performers dancing the Apsara dance is a delight for the audiences that witness it , in the past dancing of this sort was only seen by the king in the privacy of the palace . The ( kbach ) gesturing of the hands of classical dance performed at a slow , hypnotic pace co-ordinated with synchronised sculptural poses that are infused with serenity and equilibrium . This hand gesture symbolises the leaf .

This was a wishing well in a deep underground cave. I thought it looked like a celestial body.

This past Saturday, February 6, the Moon danced in a triangle with it's cousins, Venus and Mercury at sunrise.

Venus is the bright object on the right side of the image. Mercury is the faint dot of light in the clouds directly below the moon, making a pretty celestial triangle.

The only thing missing is a working beacon in the lighthouse. But you can't have everything.

Celestial Park 5501 Celestial Road

This quiet, 4-acre neighborhood park on the north side of Celestial Road at Bellbrook Drive is a good spot to sit and reflect on the beautiful surroundings. It features a jogging trail, steps with celestial quotations and poetry leading up to a human sundial, park benches, plant identification throughout the park, and pet waste dispensers. Stand on the appropriate month-engraved stone in the middle of the sundial and your shadow will be cast onto the appropriate time-engraved stone (not allowing for Daylight Savings Time.) On-street parking is available on Celestial Road in front of the Addison Pump Station.

Western Chalukyan period, 11th century,India (Karnataka, possibly Dharwar)

Slate;

A semidivine celestial musician to the gods is shown playing a flute, standing beneath the canopy of a flowering tree. This bracket figure was intended to decorate a pillar capital of the interior of a Hindu temple of the western Chalukyas. Temples of the southern Deccan favored the use of such figures of celestial musicians and dancers, poised at an angle between the capital of a pillar and the temple's interior ceiling stones to form a bridge between the worldly and heavenly spheres, and to make explicit the notion of the temple as a heavenly palace.

I love skies, especially dramatic ones, I can just sit there and dream away in them, I hear music with it, a great joy in my life.

Taken in my beloved Flanders... you can just see the tops of the 'knot' willows.

My aunt gave me this tree topper. As well as a few other vintage ornaments about 20 years ago. I've used it ever since. It's really amazing to watch. (and) means alot that she would pass it on to me.
