On Saturday evening, I captured this breathtaking celestial alignment over the iconic Durdle Door. The Moon and Venus shone brilliantly in the twilight sky, reflecting beautifully over the calm waters of the Jurassic Coast. What a stunning sight, I just had to stand there for a moment and take it all in.

This photo was taken by a Kowa/SIX medium format film camera and a KOWA 1:3.5/55mm lens with a Kowa L1A ø67 filter using Kodak Portra 800 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.
Trying out a lens I found in my stash that had been forgotten, Rokinon 2.0/16mm.
With it's fairly wide capability and fast F2.0, I was hoping for happy results, but I'm a bit disappointed.😫
After researching this lens, I found it is an EF-S lens and I had gotten it for an older APS-C camera that I no longer have. Not for full frame camera. Also not nearly as sharp focus as other lenses I normally use for night shots, but that could be my fault, as it is manual focus.
Since I now use full frame cameras and no longer even have an APS-C camera, I will be getting rid of this lens. Too bad, I had high hopes. You can never have too many lenses for astrophotography! 😉

Overwhelming feeling of awe and humbleness brought tears to my eyes and had to stop shooting for a while.
I thought I heard the crunch of footsteps on the cinder behind me but it must have been my imagination. When I turned to look no one was there.
The Orion Nebula (M42) truly comes alive with patterns and colors when given sufficient exposure time to reveal its intricate details! This image represents a 3.3 hour unfiltered exposure through a RASA 8 telescope and a ASI2600MC Pro camera from a Bortle 1 site.
