This sign is near Kiahanie Campground. This quiet, 19 site, family-friendly camp is located in a lush, mature Douglas-fir/vine maple/sword fern forest alongside the North Fork of the Middle Fork Willamette Wild and Scenic River. The campground sits off Forest Service Road 19 (also known as the Aufderheide Drive), which is a portion of the 220-mile long West Cascades Scenic Byway. This is a bit strange. When I saw this sign, I thought it was an outrageously bad translation and perfect for Spangrish, as the Spanish version means, approximately, "randomness of floor".
I got curious and checked the etymology of the English word "hazard"... and it appears to derive from the Spanish word "azar". Not that that would make it a proper translation, but at least it makes it somewhat less inappropriate, and more interesting.
Resident caution: for wooded section in their back yards and out buildings , rock out crops or brush piles . Within , Milford st , Summer st , Independence Ln , Freedom trail. For the possibility of a large active colony .
The feeding station is a great idea to get close up's
a safety stick placed to help other insects climb out if they find themselves in the sugar water which also makes a perfect perch for macro shooting.
Now that i have a good image it does come to mind the matter of where these European Hornets are nesting.
The numbers of these hornets are a bit concerning even for me so today i spent a bit more time looking at flight paths .
There are now four major paths i found with good activity which leads me to think that the hive is not far and
i believe this is going to be a very large hive when found .
For a large hornet, a lot bigger than our common Dolichovespula maculata,,bald-faced hornet. These Vespa Crabro
and the nest now has me concerned because of the numbers seen and not knowing where the colony is, it could be a safety concern as for my wooded lot i did a pretty good
job surveying for hornets nests and not even a yellow jacket colony has been found (yet) as the yellow jacket activity is still
active but not drastically .
I will make contact with surrounding neighbors for a friendly
heads up as this could be a very large colony and could be very dangerous .
Its a shame i have not found the colony more so that its not
on my property since i enjoy seeing them for photography .
Had i found them at least the area would be marked off with warning .
Caution Beehive ahead in treetrunk. Proceed slowly and quietly for the next 25 ft.

Yep, it was probably a lot wetter yesterday as this restaurant is right by the river. But I admire their fortitude as it was open for business today.

Tempting fate, I went back with some friend to get some more photos of the now closed Chesapeake Kmart store. We went around for at least ten minutes going past the caution taped areas to get photos and panoramas and nobody said a word! I suppose the 911 lady was gone.

Okay, so none of these following have descriptions because I moved and it took us 3 weeks to get internet so I'm just now updating, slowly but surely. I had mono for three weeks, so there're a couple of missing days, and I may or may not have lost a couple files. So, I tried my best to keep up with this project, but this last month took a toll on me.
