I giggled when I saw this drinking fountain at the park with the "caution reflectors." I imagine someone probably bumped into "the arm" one day, so they added the reflective tape.
Caution tape so viewers of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade don't fall into the window well of a Central Park West condominium building.
I decided to wake up early to capture some sunrise nature long exposure photography at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. To my disappointment, Mother Nature did not want to give me what I needed. The sky did not give me all of the beautiful colors due to the clouds but since I was already down there risking me and my camera getting wet, I decided to capture some images anyway. Its a bit tricky getting your camera out in the gents lavatory but its not everyday you see a steam locomotive bearing down on the urinals..The Great Western - Wetherspoons pub in Cardiff. August 2018.
On the causeway from Eriskay to South Uist. We didn't spot an otter - much to the disappointment of Mary-Ann - but nor did we run one over...
under the lions gate bridge bridge on a stormy, stormy day.
the title comes from the sign, more visible in the large version
"Caution, the oven is HOT!"
That's what one Minion said, while the others were checking out the Brazilian cheese balls (Pão de queijo). In the oven they were being baked, while outside was a plate with raw ones.
My coworker made these cheese balls at home, and baked them in the small halogen oven in the office.
And I'm finally back on Flickr, after being busy for the past few months moving house.

Somehow the camera focused on the caution tape, even though it wasn't in the center of the viewfinder.
Yes, that's a pair of little boy's underwear beneath that "caution wet floor" sign. I'm not sure if some mom surreptitiously flung them there into the shadows or if an employee thought it best to protect the public from these hazardous, wet, tighty whities. Stay classy McDonald's.

A sign on Ruby Road warning of the illegal activities in the area. This road which runs west of Nogales for about 45 miles through an area which is very active with illegal immigration and drug running. This road leads to the heart of "Cocaine/OTM Alley".
I have spent the last two weekends in this area and have found little to photograph. After driving close to 620 miles in four days im starting to think that the 21% drop (as reported in the media) in crossings due to the talk of the National Guard being on the border as being true.
I can also say that after exploring areas close to my home that once were hotbeds of activity and finding them to be very quiet or showing years of non-use I feel that the situation has really changed in the last five years. Im sure that the activity moves away from the Border Patrol resources into other areas but here in the San Pedro River valley the increased patrols and the installation of remote cameras seems to have had an effect.
