San Francisco 2010
Somewhere here there were some camera gear salesmen who by all means wanted to make me buy some decent lens for that expensive camera of mine, not just that puny 35 f/2 I had on.
I took their bait, but after a few minutes of talking they more or less had to admit that they didn't know shit about their trade...
#119. Going with the green ("Asparagus") for the LR/DR. And the cream and terracotta combo for the kitchen.
Very, very early this morning, at about 5.45am, the sunrise was breathtaking. The sky was filled with smoky grey clouds, backlit by an inviting orange glow. This was taken far later, after all the heat had left the sky. Lesson to be learned: keep your camera in the bathroom, so you can snap sunrises when you get up to pee.
San Francisco 2010
Entrance to the San Francisco Maritime National History Park.
The sheet of paper on top of the large sign says "free admission" - it was national park day. And I hadn't had a clue.
Worse, I had agreed with my colleague who was with me on that trip that we'd meet at the car at 17:00 if we'd get separated (which had happened about 10 minutes after we started) because we also wanted to go to the Golden Gate bridge. And my phone's battery had died early that day.
So I had about half an hour for all those museum ships, including the walk back to the parking lot (about 10 min). So, I was in for a rushed photo spree. Less than half an hour really doesn't do this place the justice it deserves, but still, it was better than nothing.
Another Sunday, another screengrab. Where is yours?
Just catching up on some docs I bookmarked this week but couldn't get to in time.
