Esse reflexo foi feito em um bulbo de água tipo chafariz que fica transbordando gotas, localizado no Clube de Campo Senzala, em Lavrinhas/SP. Ela foi feita com a pequenina Casio Z750, pois não podia levar câmeras maiores, já que foi um churrasco de uma empresa de eventos, que posteriormente vende as fotos. =S

Mas está valendo...

Podem olhar com calma, porque a princípio é bem confusa mesmo... eheheheh...

Femme piquée par un serpent [Woman Bitten by a Snake]

 

This statue, along with Thomas Couture's painting The Romans of the Decadence, was the cynosure of the 1847 Salon, scandalising the public and the critics alike. Clésinger produced a suggestive image of a naked woman writhing from the pain of a bite inflicted by the symbolic snake twisted around her wrist. As the dimpled flesh at the top of her thighs reveals, he used a plaster cast moulded from life. His model was Baudelaire's muse, Apollonie Sabatier (1822-1890), a Parisian beauty who held a salon in Paris and was familiarly known as "La Présidente"; in lending her body to Clésinger she brought him unhoped-for success.

 

The practice of moulding a sculpture directly from life was violently criticised in the 19th century, on the grounds that it induced laziness and lack of integrity in the artist. Clésinger kept up excellent relations with Théophile Gautier, who orchestrated the scandal. For Delacroix it was just a "sculpted daguerreotype." Yet the generous curves that offended visitors to the Salon with their realism were combined with more conventional elements: the less expressive idealised face and the ornate pedestal covered with flowers like a bronze clock, making Woman Bitten by a Snake a perfect example of eclecticism in sculpture. The motif of the abandoned body was frequently copied until the end of the century, as is shown by Schoenewerk's sculpture, The Young Tarantine.

This is the crowd that had gathered in the Old Town Square (Staroměstské náměstí) in Prague to watch the medieval astronomical clock, the Praha Orloj. I was watching from above in a tower across the square.

Puño é considerada a capital folclórica do Perú. Segundo o Instituto Nacional de Cultura são cerca de 250 tipos de danças.

Entre as principais danças se destacam: La llamerada, onde se invoca Pachamama por melhores colheitas, além de outras danças agrícolas, como el Chusqui-Chuspi, danças eróticas como la K'ajcha, danças marciais como el Qhapu, místicas como la Kullahua ou ceremoniais como el Casarasiri.

A festa da Virgem da Candelaria é a mais importante no altiplano. Milhares de mestiços de origem aymara dançam, eles rezam e eles brindam, em honra para a uma "mãe" milagrosa que por quase quatro séculos dá bênçãos para a cidade de Puno. A celebração é um rosário espetacular de danças folclóricas, especialmente, a Diablada o que simboliza a vitória do bem sobre o mal.

For those interested in details: Tremalzo pass road was built during world war 1 by Austrian army in order to support the military emplacements in this region. Even though wars are stupid in general (personal comment), this period has left over perfect trails for mountain bikers that nowadays frequently use these former strategic routes for more intelligent purposes.

Il Castello angioino è collocato a difesa della città, totalmente circondato dal mare ed è sito a levante della città e dell'imboccatura del ponte secentesco anticamente levatoio in legno che unisce l' abitato di Gallipoli alla terra ferma.

 

Il Castello- fortezza, risale ai secoli XIII-XIV, ma fino al XVII ha subito modifiche, aggiunte e ristrutturazioni. Il primo impianto del Castello doveva essere quadrangolare, dopo il ritorno alla Corona della città, gli aragonesi costruirono un recinto a pianta poligonale fortificato agli angoli da torri cilindriche.

 

I lavori furono svolti su disegno dell'architetto senese Francesco di Giorgio Martini. Altri lavori ripresero in età viceregnale spagnola con la costruzione a Sud Est del bastione poligonale, cosiddetto 'torrione di vedetta'. La separazione del puntone-torrione dal resto del castello con la conseguente trasformazione del rivellino isolato nelle acque, diede al castello l' aspetto di una fortezza moderna.

 

Il castello assunse una forma quadrangolare rafforzata ai vertici da quattro torrioni, uno poligonale, e sull'asse est-ovest dal rivellino. La forma assunta nel primo Cinquecento rimase quasi immutata fino alla seconda metà del XIX secolo, sulla cortina che guarda la città, fu riempito il fossato e gli archi che sorreggevano il ponte levatoio furono nterrati. Nel 1879 il Castello è divenuto demanio dello Stato.

 

L'interno ha grandi sale con volte a botte e a crociera, vari cunicoli e camminamenti.

Il Castello Gallipolino è considerato uno degli ormai rarissimi Castelli ad essere bagnato direttamente dal mare e la sua costruzione evidenzia l' altissima e ardita tecnologia ingegneristica.

 

Attualmente il Castello è sede del Comando della Guardia di Finanza, mentre il Rivellino è adibito ad arena estiva per cinema.

Degas regularly went to the Paris opera house, not only as a member of the audience, but as a visitor backstage and in the dance studio, where he introduced by a friend who played in the orchestra. At that time, the opera was still housed in the rue Le Peletier and had not yet moved to the building designed by Garnier which was soon to replace it. From the 1870s until his death, Degas's favourite subjects were ballerinas at work, in rehearsal or at rest, and he tirelessly explored the theme with many variations in posture and gesture.

More than the stage performance and the limelight, it was the training and rehearsals that interested him. Here the class is coming to an end – the pupils are exhausted, they are stretching, twisting to scratch their backs, adjusting their hair or clothes, an earring, or a ribbon, paying little heed to the inflexible teacher, a portrait of Jules Perrot, a real-life ballet master.

 

Degas closely observed the most spontaneous, natural, ordinary gestures, the pauses when concentration is relaxed and the body slumps after the exhausting effort of practising and the implacable rigour of the class.

 

The slightly raised viewpoint looking diagonally across the studio accentuates the vanishing perspective of floor boards. Paul Valéry wrote: "Degas is one of the very few painters who gave the ground its true importance. He has some admirable floors". This is all the more appropriate for dancers in that the parquet, which was moistened to prevent slipping, is their main work tool. And the ballet master beats time on the floor with his baton.

Ilha do Sol, por exemplo, fizemos um passei de uma manhã, onde foram gastas 3 horas só em barco, no final das contas tivemos cerca de uma hora e meia para conhecer a Ilha do Sol. Mal subimos a escadaria!!

This is a photo of the Oriental Pearl Tower from Shanghai. It is placed in an area named the Pudong.

This is a blend of two separate long exposures that were never meant to be merged. One was of a train going past one way, and the other was a train passing in the opposite direction. Unfortunately the tripod had been moved in between shots so when I decided to merge them it was a lot more trouble than I thought at first. Still, I like the overlay result in the end, so, yeah, that's like totally ok that it took a while.

Panchachuli peaks as seen from Munisyari. The Panchachuli range is a part of the Kumaon Himalayas and forms the western boundary of the Darma Valley. Legend says that the Panchachuli peaks get their names from Pancha (five) and Chuli (cooking pots), because they are said to have been used as cooking pots for the last meal of the Pandava brothers, before their journey to heaven.

Emile Zola, Cézanne's boyhood friend, showed an early interest in painting. He was particularly interested in the artists rejected by the official critics. In 1866, he wrote an article on Manet in La Revue du XXe siècle and defended him again the following year when he organised a private exhibition on the fringes of the Universal Exhibition. Zola regarded the artist, who was contested by traditionalists, as one of the masters of the future, whose place was in the Louvre. In 1867, the article was published as a slim brochure with a blue cover, here in full view on the table.

 

To thank him, Manet offered to paint Zola's portrait. The sittings took place in Manet's studio, rue Guyot. The setting was arranged for the occasion with items characteristic of Zola's personality, tastes and occupation. On the wall is a reproduction of Manet's Olympia, a painting which sparked a fierce scandal at the 1865 Salon but which Zola held to be Manet's best work. Behind it is an engraving from Velazquez's Bacchus indicating the taste for Spanish art shared by the painter and the writer. A Japanese print of a wrestler by Utagawa Kuniaki II completes the décor. The Far East, which revolutionised ideas on perspective and colour in European painting, played a central role in the advent of the new style of painting. A Japanese screen on the left of the picture recalls this.

 

Zola is seated at his work table. He is holding a book, probably Charles Blanc's L'Histoire des peintres frequently consulted by Manet. An inkwell and a quill on the desk symbolise the writer's occupation.

 

This portrait sealed the start of a loyal friendship between Manet and Zola, both eager for success.
