La città dalle cento torri - The hundred towers city

This is a panorama from the edge of the land at Flåm, looking out to the Nærøyfjord, a branch of the massive Sognefjord. This is where our fjord cruise travelled from.

Cruising round the fjords was just totally mindblowing. Lush green rolling hills, snow-capped mountains, crisp blue clear water, amazing skies, massive waterfalls - nature just doesn't get much better than this. As an Englishman, it's hard to take in that this stuff really exists, and not just as images on postcards.

One photographer evaluated this photograph.

so, I started to take the photographs.

It was the start... just start...

A friend asked for a wider view, well Bill this is all I have. We are at the timber line looking acrossed some of the Tusher mountain range. Here again this is on the other side of the mountain from the fire. You can see how thick the timber is and why a fire would be so disastrous.

The next phase of the Wisconsin Place project is the demolition of Hecht's Chevy Chase at the corner of Wisconsin and Western Avenues in Chevy Chase/Friendship Heights, above the Friendship Heights metro station. Bring on the Whole Foods! (and the 1.1 million square feet of office, retail, and high-rise residential, and a new Hecht's.) Hello traffic congestion.

A long 2 hours drive to Munsiyari with the road covered in sleet. Being the first ones to cross the Kalamuni pass after the road being cleared off snow, we faced a lot of issues driving on sleet alone in pitch darkness.

Nota 1:

Este é o restaurante do hotel.

Nota 2:

Não tivemos problemas com o soroche.

I am thinking this spring may never stop raining we even had snow today. I was looking through some picture from our vacation in February and came across this picture of a sculpture on the San Diego bay board walk. I really enjoy the Sculptures on the bay. Someone has put in a lot of time. I think I may do something like this with my yard working tools so I get some use out of them.

Simón José Antonio de la Santísima Trinidad Bolívar Palacios y Blanco (born July 24, 1783 in Caracas, Captaincy General of Venezuela – died December 17, 1830, in Santa Marta, Colombia) was the most important leader of South America's successful struggle for independence from Spain, collectively known as Bolívar's War.

In 1802, he married María Teresa Rodríguez del Toro y Alaysa. She died of yellow fever less than a year later and he never remarried.

Together with José de San Martín, Bolívar is regarded as one of the Liberators of Spanish South America. (source: wikipedia)

Ouviu Evo?!

Ok so i have been going for two days, and i've already cocked up. we had a wedding this weekend and i managed to miss three days!!!! not the best start. (i promise to do better)

this photo was taken at the aforementioned wedding, it was hand held on my point and shoot casio exilim card camera. it was taken whilst being very very drunk and dancing to the blues brothers music. i'm with my friend gordon in the photo. there are some very messy photos from this wedding.

oh and by the way i had totally forgotten about "project 365" when i took this, and i'm only including it as i took the picture!!! there were more interesting photos of me from that night, but as i haven;t worked out what my criteria is yet i haven't used them.
