An abandoned cart in a garage on the streets of Daehangno is an interesting photographic subject.

Death Cart
Unknown artist of the Los Hermanos Penitentes Society, 1890-1910
Taos, New Mexico
wood, hide, hair, pigment
This sculpture is a smaller version of the death carts that were pulled by penitent brothers during Holy Week processions of the Los Hermanos Penitentes Society. Public processions reenacted the sorrow and suffering of Christ's final days, with some penitent brothers participating self-flagellation with whips and dragging large, heavy crosses and death carts. Here the female Angel of Death, Dona Sebastiana, serves as a reminder of human mortality and the importance of preparing for a good death through prayer and virtuous deeds.

This Big Lots is located next to a former Target which moved up the highway to a Super Target location. When they moved the majority of the carts went with them, however it looks like Big Lots grabbed a few of the left overs for themselves.
This is a 1970s-vintage galley cart from SAS airlines; when I found it at an aircraft scrapyard, it looked like this.
I cleaned it up at a self-serve car wash, then built some interior shelves out of acrylic plastic. The cart opens on both sides; this side holds the booze, mixers, and bags of pretzels; the back side holds glasses and barware. When not in use, everything stows neatly inside.
Needless to say, next time you see someone scooping up piles of napkins and bags of peanuts during your next flight, it may be me, trying to re-stock my cart. Flight attendants are usually pretty indulgent when I explain that I use a galley cart as a bar in my living room.
Finally tested my Century Graphic. The good news is that everything seems to work okay; there are no light leaks, shutter speeds seem accurate, aperture can be changed smoothly, but... Due to user error, all photos were blurry, because I did not realize that the bellows need to be pulled out until it hits these infinity stop tabs, which should be flipped up to stop the bellows. I may also not have loaded the film correctly, because I only got 7 exposures instead of 8.

A random Sears shopping cart right outside of Bloomingdale's at the Town Center at Boca Raton. You know your company is in trouble when even the shopping carts want to distance themselves from your stores.
An ore cart which would be loaded with one ton of ore out of an adit and to a stamp mill, which usually was located below the mine for use of gravitational pull.
“Men are like pumpkins. It seems like all the good ones are either taken or they've had everything scraped out of their heads with a spoon.” - anon
Carrying on with the pumpkin theme; I saw this cart on my way home the other day and thought the cart with the pumpkins had character. There seems to be an abundance of them this year as everyone and his dog are selling them. Should be a good Halloween this year then.

Processing an alternate take from a rainy night shot from 2014 along the Byron Highway near Brentwood, CA.
This old Raisin trailer and a seasonal rain pond caught my attention. Little did I know, as I was shooting this, my car was slowly sinking into the mud. I eventually made it up onto the paved road and got my Ford outta Dodge.
