There were multitudes of Agents Carter at the con. She was probably my favorite, partly because the fit, construction, and proportions of her costume were so good. These costumes based on "real" clothes are harder to do than they look. We don't necessarily know what Batman's body armor is made of and how it's put together. But we know what a woman's jacket ought to look like. So if it's not professionally-sewn and doesn't fit right and looks to be made from a material that would never be used for a suit...it sticks out.
More than that, I liked her because I'm more taken by cosplayers than by cosplay. And she looks terrific here! I keep saying that the ones who catch my eye are the ones who clearly are having a great time.
Photo notes: Mmph. Wish I'd hit her with more flash. I missed the first two mornings of the Con, and this was my first experience with 10 AM in this space. Like many amateurs, experience shortens the trial-and-error process but doesn't eliminate it.

Enticed by the promise of colour and fun I took myself to the fair this afternoon. Rather than run away with it I brought it home with me ….

Freshly repainted out of London United colours looking very nice. This is the former London United TA255.
This impressive set of 1920s steam-driven yachts is one of only two or three surviving examples of a very popular ride in Britain at the turn of the 20th century. Two ‘yachts’ swing under steam power to an almost vertical angle which, although appearing sedate from the ground, gives it a kick which makes it one of our most popular rides with thrill-seekers.

Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter biking in Yangshuo. According to a tourist web site: "In 1987, The USA president Jimmy Carter visited Yangshuo, his wife and he insisted that went around Yangshuo countryside by bicycle. Since that time, Rent a bicycle go around Yangshuo countryside has become the first choice to the tourists." Photo from lobby of our hotel.
Was deleting photos off my phone and came across the one and only photo I ever took of Carter before he was the Joker. This is right after he got his faceup - which was probably October 2014 right before the Halloween meet. He looked like this until June when I came home and wiped him after deciding he'd make a good Joker. Only, you know. With clothes. Sort of.

Pink and orange neon sign (when lit) for Don Carter Lanes, at 4007 E. State Street (U.S. Route 20) in Rockford, Illinois. Don Carter Lanes opened in 1959 and has greatly expanded over the years, lately incorporating an off-track betting room.
So I was on the plane, and this guys comes on, and I'm thinking "who is that, walter cronkite?" but then he shook everyone's hand, and i knew, oh I knew, it was James Earl Carter, Jr.
In August 1995 Carter's Coaches were using this RM on a Summer Sunday service (Suffolk CC used to subsidise a wonderful summer Sunday network). It certainly went to Ipswich, Diss and Bressingham Gardens, but can't remember anything about it now! It is RM113 re-registered.
This is Bressingham Gardens, where the bus is seen alongside one of the miniature/NG railways at this site.
