Keep an eye out for the 500th new, 5000-series train car to be added to the CTA rail fleet. Car 5500 was put into service on August 5, 2014!
Take a ride on our modern, comfortable and smooth-riding cars – now rolling on the Red, Purple, Yellow, Pink and Green Lines! These shiny new cars are now replacing 2400-series cars, built in the late 1970s -- when Jimmy Carter was president and “Saturday Night Fever” was a box office hit.
Ron Carter is one of those musicians who have truly done it all. From Jazz to Hip-Hop on thousands of record dates and live proformances including one of the great groups: the Miles Davis Quintet. This was shot in the far west village in New York City.
A properly devilish Little Fear for this weeks #Colour_Collective. I had a name for him the moment I finished doodling him. I reckon Carter is quite fitting.
With special thanks
Weekly shout out to my $10 patron, Warren from IWrite. Without people like Warren, I wouldn’t be able to wake you all with my little fears and you’d probably cry a lot less in the morning than you already do.

Arthur 'Nick' Carter was the oldest serving soldier in the British Army when he retired in 1951. Photo was taken in 1948.
Private Carter served for 50 years & saw active service in both the Boer War and the Great War.
Photo: Private Arthur (Nick) Carter served in the KSLI for 50 years from 1901-1951. He saw active service during the Boer War in South Africa and also in France during the First World War. On his left arm he is wearing ten good conduct stripes, the most ever awarded to anyone in the British Army. When he was discharged in 1951 he was the oldest serving soldier and had remained a private soldier from his own choice. Talking to Private Carter is the Earl of Povis, who was Lord Lieutenant of Shropshire. To his left is Major General Grover, and on the far right is Lt. Col. Shaw-Ball. After Private Carter was discharged, he lived in a rented room opposite his old Barracks.
Private Arthur 'Nick' Carter enlisted with the King's Shropshire Light Infantry in 1901 and actively served in the Second Boer War (1899–1902) and World War One (1914–1918).
using a tree as a tripod so the composition might not be quite as good as it might have been. It's good enough for a "we were here."

James came on the scene as one of the first to break through the"Young Lions" tag in the early '90s . James is one of the few guys that can apply his ideas to a multitude of reed instruments and make them sound good with the different techniques that are required. His main axes are tenor and bari but like I said before, he can play ANY reed instrument.(He has a BASS sax) His personality, like his tone are big and is a lot of fun to be around. This was shot in SOHO, NYC with Kodak Portra 400.
This was last year, on the way to pick apples at the very top of Carter Mountain. It'll be another month or two before we have color like this again but I'm ready.
Carter-Rice and Company constructed this building in 1903 to house its paper distribution firm.
The building is one of the few remaining examples of Second Renaissance Revival architecture in Denver’s central business district. It also typifies the small scale warehouse and commercial structures that dominated the lower downtown area after 1900.
Couldn't find the date on the building on the left just that it was the Cactus Club at one time now a high price Appartments.
