Carpet Python Tropical Queensland

Out of the blue, Honky started visiting us in late 2007 and was a regular, daily visitor until in 2012 he/she partnered up to start a family. We haven't seen Honky now since 2014.

my horrible little snake Sassy, given to me by a friend who couldn't deal with her. She's so nasty, so bitey! But so pretty too!

We don't get these guys very often but on this occasion this youngster turned up and stayed for around 3-4 weeks.

Pebbles getting ready to shed

Taken at Whiteman Park Perth Western Australia

Attractive but evil yearling male. Handling twice weekly in attempt to calm him down.

Reflections from a carpet python. The sheen of light on wet scales.

Squirt just shed

Sonoka at almost 2 years of age..she's all grown up now!

That wooden post is not small. Nor is the verandah or the tree fern leaf. There was no way I was getting more than half of the python in one frame.
