Found a meadow full of Goldfields, speckled with some pink Filaree.

This not-quite-ghost sign faces onto the former New York Central Railroad mainline in Amsterdam, N.Y.

That looks like the Better Business Bureau logo in the middle, which is kind of ironic. When this mural was commissioned, Amsterdam’s famous carpet industry was on its last legs and would soon evaporate, taking a huge number of jobs with it and degrading the city to Rust Belt status.

Meanwhile, the intercity rail passengers who were supposed to see the mural would soon switch to airplanes.

The nature waves the best flora red carpet when the autumn comes. A Brigus South man (without any surprise, he is Robert) is walking the red carpet in Brigus South.

I ducked within the aspen to try to catch the glow that develops when direct sunlight ricochets from so many quaking yellow leaves and from the carpet of gold on the forest floor.
