Fondé sur l'ancienne acropole de la ville grecque d'Antipolis, castrum romain, résidence des évêques au Moyen Ãge (de 442 à 1385), le château Grimaldi fut habité à partir de 1385 par la famille monégasque qui lui donna son nom. Le 29 mars 1924, Dor de la Souchère crée la société des Amis du musée d'Antibes qui a pour objet de fonder un Musée historique et archéologique et de travailler à faire connaître le passé de la région.
En 1925, le château des Grimaldi est acheté par la ville d'Antibes et devient ainsi le musée Grimaldi avec pour premier conservateur, Romuald Dor de la Souchère. En septembre 1945, Pablo Picasso se rend au musée Grimaldi et en 1946, Romuald Dor de la Souchère lui propose d'utiliser une partie du château comme atelier.

20201012-Le tour du cap d'Antibes
Le sentier ou chemin de Tire-Poil est un itinéraire de randonnée pédestre qui longe le littoral du cap d'Antibes, dans les Alpes-Maritimes. Il relie la plage de la Garoupe à l'anse de l'Argent Faux, sur 3,2 kilomètres.
Histoire
Ce chemin qui longe le littoral était un chemin des douaniers. Il est le résultat de la servitude d'accès au littoral entériné par la loi littoral de 1986 ; à l'origine les vastes propriétés du cap d'Antibes avaient un accès direct à la mer.
Le point le plus au sud du sentier était autrefois la route qui passe entre le château de la Croé et la villa Eilenroc. Depuis le début des années 2010, le sentier a été prolongé jusqu'à l'anse de l'Argent Faux, rejoignant ainsi l'avenue Beaumont, et permettant l'accès au cap géographique, où se trouve la villa Eilenroc.
Pour des raisons de sécurité et du fait de la fréquentation croissante du sentier, des aménagements sont régulièrement réalisés depuis les années 1990, facilitant le passage et la sécurité des piétons.
