Don't come back any more ! Au cap d'Antibes (Alpes-Maritimes)

This path soon gives way to a paved one leading to Cap Gros, then running alongside the walls surrounding the great parks of the private properties "château de la Garoupe" and "château de la Croé": the winding and sometimes narrow route leads along the rocky headland and around some small creeks. This brings you to the tip of Cap d'Antibes where you will find the villa Eilenroc. Head inland via the "sentier des Douaniers", enclosed by two walls separating the path from the landscape gardens full of wonderful fragrances, then follow avenue Beaumont until it joins the main boulevard Francis Meilland, then return to the car park via avenue de la Tour Gandolphe.

Le cap d’Antibes désigne communément une presqu'île située au sud d’Antibes et à l'est de Juan-les-Pins, sur la Côte d'Azur en France. Le cap d'Antibes géographique est situé au sud de cette presqu'île, près de l'anse de l'Argent Faux et de la villa Eilenroc, sur le sentier du littoral au début de Golfe Juan.

Après avoir abrité à l'époque romaine un temple, puis une chapelle, Saint-Jaume voit s'édifier une tour fortifiée, entièrement détruite au 17ème siècle. Quelques décennies plus tard, le site accueille le Bastion des Constructions Navales, où est aménagée la célèbre Calypso du commandant Cousteau. Le chantier naval cesse toute activité en 1985. Détruit pour cause d'obsolescence, le bâtiment laisse place à un vaste espace mettant en lumière les prestigieux vestiges fortifiés et la courtine, magnifiquement rénovés. Aujourd'hui, cet espace accueille la sculpture monumentale du « Nomade » de l'artiste catalan Jaume Plensa.

Plage et tour des ondes. Juan-les-Pins.

La petite tour de la Plage des Ondes est probablement l'endroit le plus photographié du Cap d'Antibes. Cette tour n'existe que depuis le début des années 50 bien qu'elle semble exister ici depuis toujours.

The small tower at Plage des Ondes is probably the most photographed spot in Cap d'Antibes. This tower has only been around since the early 1950s although it seems to have been here forever.

View Large On Black

Miracolo quotidiano

Lorsque l'on évoque le Cap d'Antibes, on pense aussitôt aux villas de prestige et aux résidences pour milliardaires noyées dans l'oasis verdoyant de la presqu'île . Aux confins de ces lieux enchanteurs, les falaises de calcaire blanc et les criques profondes de la frange littorale dessinent un paysage farouche dont la sauvagerie surprend le visiteur .

La nature sublimée par l ' astre du jour...Better in Large.
