Dropped us off at the canoe launch just below the Chirundu bridge. We would see our driver once more at the resupply site four days later and then 8 days later at the end.

Photo taken during our 8 day/7 night canoe down the mighty Zambezi from Chirundu to Kanyemba, Zimbabwe.

Spotted during a sunny evening stroll!!!

This group of canoeing people were at Shoreline Lake the other evening. It was really cool to watch and hear them.

Tribal Canoe Journeys of Pacific Northwest Native American Tribes, a significant cultural event that takes place once a year.

The Puyallup Tribe of Washington State was the host tribe for 2018 for all the Canoes sent by other tribes along the Pacific Northwest Coast. Tribes all along the coast traveled via paddling their traditional Ocean Canoes, beautiful, functional and ornate! These Canoe teams traveled from as far as Alaska, including far stretches of Vancouver Island, British Columbia and far stretches of Oregon Coast. Paddling for 4 to 6 six hours a day, some for over ten days, battling ocean current, heat and sheer physical exhaustion.

Each Canoe was fitted with a GPS Transponder and its latest position was updated in 30min intervals in the Website : paddletopuyallup.org/

Camrose Ski Club Canoe Trip 2014 - a lot of fun!

Canoe Safari.

Try using a single paddle on a 3 man canoe when you are on your own and trying to navigate tight turns and avoid branches and take photo's, lmao, all good fun.

I did actually crash a few times and got tangled in branches and twigs, also crashed into some people, lmao. Didn't capsize thank god. It was the best fun and I had a trail of ducks and swans behind me.

Next time I will try and concentrate more on the wildlife, lol

In Hoonah, Alaska Tlingit carvers are building a series of traditional dugout canoes with the help of Haines Master carver Wayne Price and apprentices Zack James, Steven Price and James Hart. The crew are currently completing a second canoe and both will be paddled in August 2016 to Bartlet Cove as the Huna Tlingits return to their homeland in Glacier Bay for the opening of the Tribal House, Xunaa Shuká Hít. The canoe project is sponsored by the Hoonah Indian Association. One log was obtained locally on Chichagof Island and donated by the U.S. Forest Service. The second log was purchased from Sealaska and felled on Prince of Wales Island.
