Preparing to canoe the Puyopungo jungle rivers in dugout canoe. The canoe on the left leaked alot (notice he is bailing while waiting for us). I chose the one on the right which stayed dry and afloat. Those who chose the left sat in a deep puddle the whole way.
took this at manatee park in lee county, florida late yesterday afternoon, where we only got fleeting glimpses of a manatee here or there coming up for air. this canoeist was slightly more "accessible"

on this one i tried upping the exposure so his features would be clearer.
Grizelda and Harvey canoeing down the Ardeche August 2005. We stayed at a campsite next to the river and the campsite owner took us 10 km upstream to paddle back down.
Mainly the river was not as wide as this.
This is where you hike down to the Mud River. Also, they allow you camp right on the road here, in one of the "Hunter Pull-Off" Campsites. andyarthur.org/photos/streeter/canoecarry.html
