The tree is a window to the campers at Foss Lake Oklahoma this summer, the red dirt, so typical of southern Oklahoma, a typical family, camping and eating hot-dogs. The fishing poles await.

Eventually I realized that the field we were walking through to get to the playground was secretly covered in flowering cacti.

We just came back from merica. But we felt guilty for not taking Mitch with us. Mitch said he'd been to merica before cos he used to live there. He said he had a wonderful time at home looking after the other plushies who didn't have passports.
Anyway to make up for it, the weather was really nice so we suggested to daddy and Auntie if we could go camping and take Mitch with us.

Camping Suchedniów Nr. 140 *** Nice campsite on a lake with a god bar. Beer was very cheap but you had His Holiness Pope John Paul II ( now Saint John Paul II ) looking at you. Saint John Paul II is greatly revered in Poland and this was the first outward sign of being back in a Catholic country. It reminded me of the picture of Pope Pius, J .F. Kennedy ( First and only Catholic U.S President ) and Eamonn De Valera ( Irish President ) that hung in most Irish Catholic homes after Kennedy's visit to Ireland in 1963.
Religion is making a come back in most of the former communist countries, including Russia, but Poland clung strongly to its Catholic heritage.
