Typical cement bridge railings ( you can still see some around, this once traversed a gulch, now filled in, that contained a rail line.) which were common everywhere. This is at Camp 1. Spreckles had a sugar mill near here which was taken over by the Maui Agricultural Co. They built the Pa'ia Mill. The MA Co. was absorbed by HC&S (Hawaiian Commercial and Sugar Company) to become the largest in Hawai'i. It's the last sugar company and only has one mill still operating in Pu'unene and is marketed as C&H sugar.

Camping Suchedniów Nr. 140 *** Nice campsite on a lake with a god bar. Beer was very cheap but you had His Holiness Pope John Paul II ( now Saint John Paul II ) looking at you. Saint John Paul II is greatly revered in Poland and this was the first outward sign of being back in a Catholic country. It reminded me of the picture of Pope Pius, J .F. Kennedy ( First and only Catholic U.S President ) and Eamonn De Valera ( Irish President ) that hung in most Irish Catholic homes after Kennedy's visit to Ireland in 1963.

Religion is making a come back in most of the former communist countries, including Russia, but Poland clung strongly to its Catholic heritage.

Went camping for a few days in September, near Gunnison, Colorado.

These pictures were taken in a bunker appoximately 15 feet below ground at Jonathan Dickinson Sate Park near Jupiter, FL. The bunker was build as part of the top secret Camp Murphy Army radar training school in the early 1940s. It is rumored that bunkers at Camp Murphy may have been built for the US President to stay in if needed...could this be the bunker?
