I thought I'd better follow-up my Angel's Landing post from a couple days ago with a legitimate campsite photo. This was taken in New Zealand from a high alpine ridge near Mount Cook. Fortunately, somebody had built a nice rock barricade to protect from the wind. I really liked the late twilight glow in the sky with Mt Cook emerging through the clouds. I had to use ISO 640 since there was enough wind to cause tent blur (1.3sec exposure). Even still, there is some slight movement in the tent.

We are finally home and settled.

From the Hoffmaster campground there is a small dune for climbing. Make sure to climb the dune at sunset, you will get one of the most amazing views of all Lake Michigan!
I took this photo for the theme ''Summer Holidays' of the Happy Caturday group. As you can see Tofu has set up his tent in the garden again. The tent is kind of his second home in summer and he often sleeps in there. His cousin Filou wanted the tent too but it definitely doesn't offer enough room for two cats and Tofu refused to move. :) Happy Caturday !
A photo from 2020. Snowbird Mesa near Overton, Nevada. No neighbors, water, internet or electricity. All the comforts of home, as long as you brought it with you. The only thing supplied is free camping, scenery and solitude.

Skin Fair 2020 North Presented by pGp and Taox Tattoo
Some of the nice views across to the high tors of north-west Dartmoor on our walk near Okehampton last Sunday. Large parts of this part of Dartmoor are used for military training and parts of the military camp of Okehampton can be seen on the right edge of my photo.
Camping at 14,200' on Mt. McKinley, better known as Denali. About half of the 13,000' of climbing is done at this point. Expedition took place in early June 2007, and Mt. Foraker is in the distance. Thanks to Fuji Velvia slide film for amazing colors.
