40 Kilometres north of Barcelona
The camp site is 100m from the rocky coastline. The beach 1 km away. Free daily bus service to the beach, to the camp site's beach club, to the centre of Mataró, to the train station and to the SPA wellness centre. The camp site also offers a free bus service to the centre of Barcelona (not free in July and August).
Looking through the old photos I realized in this one. All is gone now. Lady on the right (8/13/09) Daizy on the left (11/20/12) The truck I sold in July 2007. The tent I finally wore out the year after this was taken. And I've only camped here one other time. sigh
Went camping with the kids and some friends a couple weeks ago at Camp Nuhop. Took this on my iphone and edited it in photoshop. Turned out okay I think - a little pixelated but I guess that's to be expected on an iphone picture.
Camps Bay Beach, a Blue Flag Beach since 2008 is the largest white sand beach in Camps Bay. There is a seasonal life guard station with toilets at the west end of the beach. The beach is opposite Camps Bay's main tourist hub, featuring multiple hotels, restaurants, and shops.
Glen Beach, at the far right of Camps Bay beach, hidden behind large boulders is Camps Bay's best surfing beach. Short, fast rides and a small take-off area makes Glen Beach one of the hardest of Cape Town's beach breaks to surf and has resulted in a strong local atmosphere.
