While there is a National Park Campground located at the west entrance to Zion NP , we still prefer the free camping options. All back roads lead to great primitive camps near Rockville, UT. Grafton ghost town, Wire Mesa, Smithsonian Buttes, Kolob Reservoir road and this popular one along the highway.... Virgin River Camps. No signs, no tables, no toilets... but hey, whaddya expect for free.
I made this circle at a very scenic cove on Lake Mojave where we camped at recently while on a sailboat trip there :-)
Greater Manchester Police Volunteer Police Cadets attended their annual summer camp between Sunday 18 and Wednesday 21 of August at Condover Hall in Shropshire.
The event featured three days of team building and development exercises followed by the annual GMP Cadet competition.
The final afternoon saw a parade, inspection and prize giving.
The Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester, Mr Warren J. Smith was guest of honour.
Greater Manchester Police’s Chief Constable Ian Hopkins QPM led the inspection and prize giving, accompanied by Assistant Chief Constable Martin Evans of West Mercia Police.
The Greater Manchester Police Volunteer Cadets were founded in 2012.
The scheme is aimed at 13- 17 year-olds and provides a programme of weekly Cadet nights filled with activity, information and – hopefully – some fun.
The aims of the scheme include:
•Promoting and encouraging a practical interest in policing among young people,
•Providing training which will encourage positive leadership within communities which will include volunteering opportunities,
•Encouraging a spirit of adventure and developing qualities of leadership and good citizenship. Cadets will be given the opportunity to obtain a Duke of Edinburgh Award, First Aid qualification etc.

Out here at Camp Harlow, before anyone shows up, things get a little boring. So i walked to a field that shares a property line with Camp, and took some photos of this fancy green John Deere tractor. The clouds were being beautiful, and i just wanted to play around with Lightroom 2.0 Beta.

Spent most of the day up in Norfolk, helping set up the camp I help on. A canvas roofed wooden building which is the kitchen and marquee were fetched out of storage and put up in preparation for the next few weeks activities. I was worn out by the time I made it home!
LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles FIre Department held a Girls Camp on September 15-16, 2018 at the LAFD Frank Hotchkin Memorial Training Center in Elysian Park.
Girls age 14-18 were given an opportunity to see what it takes to be a Firefighter for the City of Los Angeles.
With personal guidance from female LAFD Firefighters, this two-day program was filled with team building and camaraderie, excitement and fun, and plenty of opportunity for hands-on activities with actual firefighting tools, equipment and protective gear. Attendees were able to gain confidence and new friendships as they worked in teams while exploring new challenges.
