A W-class tram makes its way west on La Trobe street in Melbourne. This tram, number 971 would have entered service between 1951 and 1955 and still runs today. I wish this wasn't quite so grainy, but it was taken on the iPhone 4S so I'm still happy with it!
My co-workers have started a delightful tradition of cracking open a few bottles of wine at the end of the day on Fridays; these are a few of last week's selections. Not pictured is the delicious Trentadue Old Patch Red that we finished off first.
I believe I have now created a tradition by making heart shaped cinnamon rolls on V-Day morning again. Actually the idea of making these every morning one of my children wakes in my home on Feb 14, regardless of their age, makes me happy.

I made these extra large snickerdoodles with whipped vanilla frosting in the middle for a snack while grading tests this week...hopefully things will go well and the kids will score well!

It was only $8 at a Friday morning yard sale. I just could not resist the cheap cheesiness! Now our house will be easy for all to find at this year's annual R5 Open House Thanksgiving...now featuring the bacon-wrapped turkey AND giant inflatable turkey!
Well, hello, Springtime! This guy gave me a start this afternoon. I had just been doing some work in Thing One's room and observed all his putty-scapes with various Lego minifigures entrenched in their blobbiness. Then I walk to my bathroom and notice a grey blob on my toothpaste, assuming it is more wayward putty, perhaps placed here to startle me, I just grab it and move it to the side. As I'm grasping it I mentally note it is particularly wet, soft and generally odd for putty. When I place it down it hops on the wall. A FROG! In my second floor bathroom! Wha?!? How did this guy get inside. I screamed immediately for the kids to fetch my camera. He was safely photographed and then moved outside to the sunshine.
After the rat snake {blog.booturtle.com/2010/10/snakes-on-plain-white-carpet.html} found in Thing One's upstairs bedroom two years ago and now this guy I'm wondering if we have a reptile open door policy on our top level.
