This, along with many others I received after a nice hot day of swimming at a neighbors. My sister, neighbor Tammy & I decided to take to the streets in our bikinis and play a game of tag on our bikes.

My sister was chasing me up a driveway when she tapped me with her tire and I flew up and over the bike. Landing with the bike on top of me, covered in blood my sister ran home. I was then dumped in the tub to get the cuts cleaned & asphalt out of my wounds.

Like I said, I have many scars from this single incident and although I don't remember the pain, I'm sure it hurt. I wouldn't trade these scars for anything. They are my life. A visual representation of my childhood if you will.

With prices soaring, a lonely truck fills up for the long haul.

Cocktails are serious business. We went out for an impromptu date night at our local restaurant/bar tonight, enjoying some of our favorite drinks. I had a Sazerac, he had a Velvet Jacket.

Crossed leg, orthodontist waiting room feet...because my 9yo handles his appointments all on his own. Didn't know it would be bittersweet to raise such independent, comfortable around adults, confident children. *sniff*
